Ishqi's Professional Life ~ Gul Needs To Work On

Ok I wanted to raise this topic from a long time.... This show is about AVM despite of strongly believing in something else falling for a "Working woman" right? Since the beginning this show is all about conveying that the working woman CAN handle both house and work at the same time. This "Working women" thing is very important and integral part of this show still there is no focus on the actual profession of the female lead Ishqi 😳 I mean if we go by promos, tagline or dialogues Ishqi SHOULD hold some good professional post but she is sometimes working under Sarla, sometimes in other place, sometimes in hotel (As per spoiler) I mean WTF 🤬

• 1st of all give your female lead a respectful permanent JOB after that talk about how women can manage both personal and professional Life 🤪

No offense but genuinely curious - why is working in a hotel or Sarla's assistant ( that's what she was no? I haven't watched all previous episodes so I ain't sure) not a respectful job? 🤓

Good point. I agree. But unfortunately even if Gul herself is a gal, all her characters, never showed much of career independence.

I really want Ishqii to have some solid career foundation rather being a waitress.😳

She can be a event manager

She can assist a famous event manager.

She can be secretary in a reputed firm etc etc

Every Job is respectful ❤️ But Sarla never respected her I was talking about doing a job (Any job) with your head held high where people respects you and your work no matter what the work is.

Its not disrespectful, but can she be only this? Cant she have a better career? Nobody wants to be a waitress by choice rite? Its more by out of choice is what it seems to me.

Unless she is hotel management student and doing her internship.

None of Gul's female leads are well educated. There are tons of poor girls raised in difficult circumstances who are educated and turn out to have a decent job/career. There is nothing shameful in working for someone if that is what you want to do but you shouldn't be in a position to get ill treated by that person and keep at it, that goes against the self respect.

The only problem about her being waitress is she is working for a function involving Sarla and Malhotras where she will serve tea coffee but her clients gonna serve her disrespect and mocking comments and insults 🤪 Zoya used to work in New York but India aate hi bhool gayi kaam dhanda 🤔 No idea about other Gul shows.

Erm, why can't someone want to be a waitress by her choice? I have known folks who did want to be. 😳

Moreover, circumstances aren't always favorable. A lot of times, people have to pick jobs they wouldn't really like but they have to, for obvious reasons.

By choice or by helplessness - a job is job and long as it helps you stand independent, I guess that shouldn't be looked down upon.

Zoya was educated but obviously Gul never used her education apart from a single scene where Zoya hacks password to find the culprit attacking Asad's mother Dilshaad.
