😔I don't need to write much, but Ahaan needs to step up, stop lying to yourself dude just stop. Stop this family crap nonsense like some ITV Bahus, show some self love, talk to yourself and understand what you feel inside and stop being an abla nari.. it's high time😡

Think about yourself before what society will say nonsense.

Ahaan is very insecure so he doesn’t even want to think about his feelings. His mother’s running away and the taunts, trauma he went through his childhood has made him very insecure. He alwyas needs social validation because he wants to be different from his mother. His mother is symbol of social rebel so he can’t do anything that goes against society.

He knows what he feels about ishqi. He just doesn’t want to think about it.

Unfortunately those family crap nonsense has been implanted into his mind when he was only a boy by his Daadi - the woman who had raised him.. Those nonsense just won't go away in a day..

Well said . 😭 His soul is hurt. He won't do it. That scene touched me. That's why this confused state of his is perfect for now. That's how feeling must develop.

Don't you think that misunderstanding about his mother will always stop him from stepping up?? Even if Ishqi don't get married he will feel like a third wheel. He may blame himself. Guilt trips.

Only after his mother's name get cleared he would be confident enough to actually propose Ishqi. But that take too much time.

I personally feel he is being a man. I mean, if I look from his perspective - I don't find him wrong. I can't. She is his best friend's fiance. That makes her off-limits. And he himself is in a two-year-old relationship.

His mother's doings and the insult and shame it brought to his family ( we know it didn't happen but at least that's what he believes). The deep rooted hatred that he has for his mother has the foundation of adultery. He would never do it to someone what has destroyed his own life.

Now unless Mayank's truth comes out or Ishqi, in her consciousness, wants to be with him- him taking any step is going to bring troubles.

Gul is missing here character building of Ahaan .

His soft side is shown and I love it.

But his hard side is not shown , I mean as a man of the house ( the way ASR was portrayed in IPK) .

His bitterness is all about sanskari bahu and abala nari - purely in women's zone .

How can a modern man only want her sister to be married and nothing else!

No wonder he is called 1921 soch wali

No wonder Sonu is such a scared soul .

I agree with each and every point raised by you in regard with Ahaan's character. But my only point is the dilemma that he is facing with himself, atleast he needs to confront himself what he feels, it's his right. The way he is always looking out for Ishki and then lying to himself that he hates her and doesn't feel anything about her is my point.

When Ishki said in the room 'Ruk jaiye na' .. honestly I saw disappointment on his face that he can't stay and Mayank is staying at his place.

That's my whole point. His character is raw from outside but we have seen him doing everything he can for Ishki and that's how Kartik and Ishki are able to see, he just needs to accept.

Sonu is not only a scared soul, but she is also a selfish girl. She doesn't care if Ishki is getting married to an animal, she doesn't care at all, she is just scared to confront to Ishki because if she does so her image will be shattered in front of her family and sasural and it might impact her future, she's scared that she will be misunderstood by her brother, but she doesn't understand the fact that Kartik and Raj are there for her and will protect her from anything and everything. She was selfish many a times where she let Ishki took all the blame and abuses in front of everybody even when she was talking about moving to a new house after her wedding and Ishki was called 'homebreaker', then only Kartik was the one who scolded Sonu. This girl needs to speak up and stop being a cry baby and take a stand for the right.

Sometimes I get tired of her 'kheeekheee' attitude, she's just being childish. Mujhe party par jana hai vrna mai zidd krungi, kheeekheeekheee meri mehndi dekho etc😡
