Chennai Super Kings will look to return to winning ways as they are back home. But they face their biggest test this season taking on the Kolkata Knight Riders at Chennai.

CSK have always been a supreme force at their home. They have played two matches in Chennai this season and emerged victorious in both of them.

CSK were up against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last appearance at the Uppal Stadium. But their bowling was not up to standards as the home side secured a win by six wickets.

KKR have had the perfect start to their tournament going unbeaten in their three games played this season. The side seems to be charging on with the likes of Sunil Narine and Andre Russell being in fine form with the bat.

In their previous game, KKR scored a mammoth 272 runs against Delhi Capitals. The bowling side was equally dominant as they bundled out the opposition for just 166 runs and secured the win by 106 runs.

As reported by Sportstar, Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman and Sri Lankan pace sensation Matheesha Pathirana will be back in action for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) upcoming IPL 2024 game against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Chennai.

It will be an interesting battle between Fiz, Mathee and De Russ, Narine.

Chennai Super Kings missed Matheesha Pathirana, to an injury, and Mustafizur Rahman, who had returned home. The availability of neither is confirmed for this match. If it remains that way, Moeen Ali will play again, and Chennai will go in with an all-Indian pace attack.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi made a stunning fifty on his IPL debut, and is likely to retain his place. In Nitish Rana, Vaibhav Arora, and Suyash Sharma, Kolkata Knight Riders have enough Indian cricketers to use as the Impact Player.

KKR are currently unbeaten this campaign and are second in the points table with six points in three fixtures. KKR have been in excellent form this season, and have performed in all departments. The Shreyas Iyer-led side also need to give plenty of credit to Sunil Narine, who has been batting as an opener. Narine's fiery knocks has been giving them excellent starts.
