Royal Challengers Bangalore Women have won the toss and have opted to bat

With only five teams in the tournament, the turnaround between games is quick and teams will have to adjust to this schedule. Royal Challengers Bangalore played yesterday and are in action today where they take on Mumbai Indians. Both sides come into this fixture with contrasting results; Mumbai thrashed Gujarat while Bangalore were thrashed by Delhi. Just one game into the season, so there's not a lot to analyze, Bangalore's bowlers were smashed around the park but it was just their first game and an afternoon one that too, surely Renuka and Schutt will get more purchase under lights. Mumbai had a flawless game, almost all their batters got runs and the bowlers rattled out Gujarat for 64. They will be oozing with confidence and would like to keep the momentum going

Pooja Vastrakar | Mumbai Indians - Very good experience (in the WPL), we won the first match with a good margin and we're all very happy. She has shared a lot of her knowledge with us as a bowling coach (on Jhulan Goswami), the bond which I had with her as a player will remain the same even as a bowling coach. This is a big tournament and we can learn a lot from the overseas players of our team. My role with the bat is to be a finisher in the last 5 overs, I'm also a new-ball as well as a death-over bowling all-rounder.

Harmanpreet Kaur: Smriti is little luckier than me (with the toss). We wanted to bowl first and we got that. We have the confidence in our bowling unit and that's why we wanted to bowl today. We are going with the same XI.

Smriti Mandhana: We would like to bat first. It is looks like a good wicket to bat on and chasing builds pressure. We had a chat in the meeting that thinking about totals would not help, we have to play to our strengths and we will get the big total. One of the top four batters has to bat deep and if we can do that then we will post good totals. One change for us.

Baltej Yadav: "MI has good domestic players - Humaira Kazi, Jintimani Kalita and Saika Ishaque. Saika took 4 wickets in the previous match."

Elsewhere, Bangladesh have defeated England by 50 runs in their ODI.
