Smriti Mandhana has won the toss and RCB will field first, saying there's some grass on the wicket and they want to make use of the conditions first. "This is a huge thing for all women's cricketers now and women's cricketers yet to come. We represent all of the current players and all of the future players." Delhi Capitals captain Meg Lanning says, "It looks like pretty even coverage so I don't think it will change that much."

Meg Lanning - The pitch looks good, even covering of grass and so not unhappy to bat first. We've three quicks and three spinners, so many all-rounders in women's cricket at the moment. We've practiced well, everyone are in the same boat and we're looking forward to the game.

Smriti Mandhana - We will field first. Fresh wicket, bit of grass and we've some quality seamers. Four overseas players are Perry, Schutt, Sophie and Heather Knight. This is a great platform, we were waiting for it and this is a chance to showcase our talent. This is big for women's cricket. We've had a quick turnaround, the team is looking in good stead and the management has been amazingas well.

Pitch and Conditions: "It is hot, 33 degrees. Afternoon game and it is the first for both these teams. This is a red soil pitch with plenty of runs in it. Looks nice and flat. The field is really quick and has short boundaries, 57 and 53 meters square. But behind the wicket on one end it is only 46 meters and you want to target that as a batter. There is a slope on the square and you should know the angles of this ground, which is the area where you can get the best runs and exploit that. We are expecting some big runs. I still think there might be something in it for the pacers at the start," analyse Julia Price and Rohan Gavaskar.

Ellyse Perry | Royal Challengers Bangalore - Wonderful to be here, just the excitement and energy has been brilliant. It's been great to meet everyone and I'm looking forward to this game. That sense of familiarity when you walk into a group is lovely. Meeting all the girls and the domestic talent is great. On a personal note, probably going to learn a lot. If it fits in with our game plan, yes I'll bowl. Takes me back to how amazing the RCB fans are, we've had a lot of cameras at training and a lot of content that goes out but it's great. Hopefully we can play some entertaining cricket for everyone out there.

Shafali Verma | Delhi Capitals - The preparations have been good, we have enjoyed a lot and at the same time we know we have to give our 100% in today's match. We have played with each other, so we know each other's strengths and weaknesses, and will look to exploit it. You've been consistent to get runs, I always want to prove myself. There are plenty of video analyses regarding every player's performance. We will have a look at the pitch and decide on the plans. We've a balanced team and I think our batting is really good.

RCB have taken the strategic break, much needed with the Capitals off to a flier. They need someone to arrest this momentum, else they'll be chasing a big total
