Yeh kantak prabhu kaatne jaaye
Maarg dharma ka sugam banaaye
Sang sahaayak Lakshman bhaai
Shakti swaroopa Janaki maayi

I love those last two lines. ❤️

Shri Rama had His soul and His life breath with Him. He couldn't have survived without either.

And, for them, Lakshman was their first son. He was the agyaakari putra to them, the son who sacrificed the comforts of the palace to be with them.

I believe Ram loved all his brothers dearly and equally, but Lakshman's place was different. He was a part of Ram, and that's why I think Ram could never survive without him nearby.

He could live even without Sita, because Mahalakshmi resides in his heart even if she's not present in her physical form, but without Sesh Naag, Hari ceases to exist.
