[In case you missed the PART 5, I ALREADY UPDATED THAT PEOPLE. So who missed them, this is it, for them.PART 5

Part 6

-Arrival of the Emperor-

~In Saptashringa~

Kunti stood at the edge of the moutain. She felt the same shiver in her spine the way she had at Rishi Rishshyashringa's hermitage. The wind were gushing at them, making her shiver in delight. She took a deep breath and read out the verses she had got as a boon, mentally praying from her every bit to have it work. She felt her Lord silently standing beside her, the same amount of tension brewing in them. As if he heard her anxiety, he whispered,

"Have faith in your Shivani."

She had sudden urge to open her eyes in fraction of seconds and look if he actually meant it. Instead, she just twitched her eyelids at the sudden anticipation and change in his thoughts. Maybe she thought wrong. Or her Lord was selfish enough not to disown her for his own gain? She didn't know. She decided to keep them apart and concentrate on whatever she was doing. It meant much more than the words of the Emperor. She again murmured inder her breath, clasoing her hands whith a smile, confidence enough to feel her daughter's aura and know this is not going to fail. They had decided to summon Dharma Dev to have a righteous, guided child and the best among the emperors in righteousness and justice, which their nation Kuru was in dire need of. Soon, both of them felt a sweet smell in the air, and spellbound in it. Their hearts leapt in joy-they knew they were successful. They opened their eyes and saw Dharma Dev swirling in the sky.

"I sense your presence of boon here, Lady. Say, of which finery you want your offspring to be?"

His voice ruptured in the mountains, scaring them for a bit. Pandu composed himself with a smile. Kunti looked at him to continue, and he said,

"We want our child to be the best of character, O' noble hearted!"

"So be it. He will be the most calm and serene person in this earth. His righteousness will be unmatchable. But remember, every human makes mistakes and even he will. His best quality will be his behaviour. He will be able to keep calmness even in the insanity of a war. Thus so, he'll be called Yudhisthir{Yuddh(war)-sthir(calm)-meaning calm in the war}"

Soon, a baby boy appeared in her hands, just like a lotus. He merrily played in her warmth. For the first time in life, she felt the warmth of motherhood. Pandu's happiness knew no bounds, when he took him in his hands amd played in the air, declaring the start of another generation. She just stood in a side, smiling at the Deva and the baby, and she just missed a nod Dharma Dev gave her.

~ In Hastinapur~

It was the start of night in Hastinapur. The light of day began to fade away leaving redmarks in the sky. It waa the time when the whole Hastinapur was ready for their evening veneration. Satyavati sat at the caved temple of Mahadev, for her own veneration. She thanked all of her stars for falling everything in place. Three more years and the first child of Dhritrashtra would come out in this world. She was happy for her children, and prayed for prosperity of Pandu and Kunti. She was elated for the very first day she heard a daughter beaing born first in her linage. She sensed the divinity welcoming her. Dhritrashtra baegan to speak good, and also to Gandhari, which made her extreamly happy. Gandhari was in her giddy mood, and visited her to be born children everyday, along with her Lord. Whenever Dhritrashtra would touch the wombs, tears would stroll out from his cheeks. The feeling of fatherhood was overwhelming for him, and it changed him for good, to a possessive family man.

Dusk was the time when Satyavati would reminisce all the good matters and let them flourish in her penance. She knew she was getting old and she needed to gather more virtue so that she could departure happily. But before going, she wanted to see the face of the maiden, whose appearance only brought millions of happiness in their household. She smiled happily and had her own share of talk with her Lord. None were allowed to enter the area at the time of dusk. Still, a maid came humping and pumphing to her. She was more than irritated as her prayer was interrupted.

"Had earth broke down that you had to come this time? Don't you know you are not allowed to interrupt me!"

Her voice was irritated and she again shut her eyes for the veneration. She muttered the Mahamrityunjaya mantra and Gyatri mantra over and over again. The servant shivered them and attempted opened her mouth yet again. But, she wss interruoted by Bhishma.

"Mata, you must hear it. It is related to everyone of us here."

He dismissed the fidgeting maid and spoke.

"Devrath?"

She turned her face while her wyes were still shut.

"What's the matter?"

She said keeping some marigold flowers on the top of the Shivlinga.

"The first heir to the throne has born, Mata. The boon which Pandu got in the forest of Rishyashringa was indeed true. The maiden we got is indeed a form of Laxmi in our threshold Mata!"

His voice was mixed with pleasure and anxiety. His eyes were moistened and glistering. Satyavati opened her eyes at the fraction of moments.

"Wha-what do you want to mean?"

"The first heir of the the next Kuru linage! We just got our next emperor!"

Realisation dawned upon her and her hands shivered. She had lost all her hopes when Gandhari had given birth to a dead meat. It had awakened a bit, when she had heard about the renewal of boon that Kunti had got in her maidenhood. Though she had doubts that time, but by the grace of Lord, all were cleared at that moment. She bowed before the shivlinga, to at least stop her shivering and express her gratitude. She had no words left.

"Wha-what we're waiting for? Let's go to Saptashringa at once! I want to see the light of my clan!"

She almost squealed, but controlled seeing the misty chuckle of her son. A little smile was there on her son's face, but it again turned to seriousness.

"Pandu said that he wouldn't want his son near the elite of royality. He wants to make him learn simplicity, then following the royal ettiquites which will be nothing but a little transformation for the royal heir. He wants him to be simple. So, he forbade us to be near him till he is on age. He assured that he wouldn't let his son forget the great tales of our Kuru linage."

He smiled and almost sympathied at the falling face of his mother.

"Don't worry, time will fly."

He assured her. She almost sighed in relief, but as if the worries won't stop to chase her, some other thoughts clouded with uncertainity, which she dreaded and despised.

-----------------------

It was a ritual for Dhritrashtra to go in the caved womb of his children. He used to feel ecsatic, elated and not what more. Wverytime a lone tear would escape from his blinded eyes, touching his to be born children like a feather. He had know happiness after a lifetime, and it took him like an intoxication. He decided from very beginning, he would never decline any of the wish his children made, and make them the best of warriors. The warriors of Kuru rashtra, of Aryavarta. He had a smile on his face, when he pictured his children earning dame and names echoed to everyone's voice. He shut his eyes in bliss, and let everything take over him. He had dreamed them to be the eyesight he never had. The strenght which he never had. And getting that incomplete part, he couldn't be more than happy.

He was busy in his mental worship, when he sensed his wife's presence, with a good vibe.

"What's there with your extra happiness,Gandhari? Did Ved Vyas said something hopeful?"

He smiled at her kindly though she couldn't see it.

"No, Lord. Something more ecstatic than that."

"And what is it of?"

"Our first lamp of the clan has been born!"

Gandhari couldn't hold her excitement more and she bubbled.

"Wha-what do you mean, Gandhari? The children are still in the womb and-"

"And it would take more than some months. But the linage don't revolve around us only, Lord. Remember your niece being born? She is real charm. Brother Pandu has just got a son! The first heir to Kuru throne!"

As he gulped the words down his throat, it began to sting his throat. He had dreamed afar, to see his son atop the holy throne. His dreams shattering to him, yet again his expectations crumbled up. He felt the same urge of disappointment shooting his he had felt when Gandhari has given birth to a dead meat, and when his brother was declared for the old despite him being the eldest.

You shouldn't be feeling like this, isn't it?

"We-well, you're right. I just forgot about Pandu for the curse he got- nevertheless, I'm happy for my little brother. It doesn't matter whose son it is. We are one right? His son is also my son."

His words sounded more like consoling to himself which he approved of. Thankfully, SGandhari coulsn't see his face, hwnce satisfied with his tone only. Still, the words he tumbled, set quirls of questions around his mind. What he wanted? He himself didn't know. He felt wandering hands of Gandhari settling over his shoulder after some moments.

"Arya, I hope you're good enough with the news. I know you always wanted our son to be-"

"Gandhari! Won't I be happy when my brother just got his biggest happiness of his life? I know how it feels. He had no options! At least he is alright now."

He sighed after the words he said. He meant them, but he didn't know whether how meant them. He was supposed to be happy being an uncle. The sound of little footsteps should clear the doubts.

Gandhari by now, knew her Lord was okay with it. She gave a smile, thought she knew he would never see it. Still, this cause never faltered her determimation to smile everytime she saw her Lord saying kind words. She heaved in relief and excused herself for the veneration.

After Gandhari left, there was nothing but silence there, and little sound of life everywhere. He stood there comprehending, and later whispered,

"You've to come quickly, children. You won't let me down, will you?"

Finally the expectations as a father won over the mutual happiness between the siblings. He was unsure, whether he started an unknown competetion, or it was just his ploy of mind. He still wantwd his son to be on the throne, no matter.

"You're wish is justified, your majesty. Anyways the children of Pandu are going to rot in that forsaken woods. Isn't it?"

Dhritrashta just smiled and acknowledged the person. He couldn't dodge that the statement was true for the time. Whatever it was, it looked like whisper of Devil to Laxmi, who was sitting in Vaikuntha and looked at her Swami. With dread in her voice, she spoke,

"It is not Devi Saraswati this time, Swami."

A mother's quivering expectations from conceiving the idea up to see the baby in her hands!
Another mother's hasty attempts to bring her selfish aspirations into this world, a well-written chapter Aanvi . Esp the strong feelings in the Queens' minds during these decisive incidents in their life, you have shown the difference between the pious nature of Kunthi and the inner conflict inflicted Gandhari's hurry to see her sons with her blinded eyes!
The Emperor was born to rule the fate of almost all the members of the Kuru and Pandu.
