~In Saptashringa~
The sweet smell of Saptashringa flew across the little hut Pandu had made. Their little family of four was living peacefully, Vyomini tried to know about the new tactics like a toddler. Her innocent eyes beamed each time when she saw something new. She was as innocent as a newborn.
It was month of monsoon, usually the start of a new year. Rains didn't stop drip for few weeks. She silently enjoyed a smell of wet hay around their house. Their hut was a little distant from other house, but were surounded by different Ashrams. She used to go in each of them everyday, and none of the sages were dusturbed to see her. Everyone in Saptashringa used to love her as their own, and taught her the necessary. She was a quick learner by nature. But she craved for her father, who didn't even turn to look at her. Her mother could do nothing, but give pitiful look to her. From few days, she saw her parents talking about something, which never was able to know. One time dat, Kunti called her alone in the hut, to her surprise her father standing at a corner trying to avoid her presence.
"What happened, Mata? You calls me like this? Is it my time to go?"
There was clear gloom in her voice. She twitched the grass in her hands and avoided her mother.
"Well, I think it has surely some time left, isn't it?"
Kunti gave an uncomfortable smile to her, and dragged her to another side. Vyomini looked inside the guy, and saw her father deeply seeing the sky while he leaned golfing his arms. She could sense some planned meeting between her and her mother.
"Putri, you know, you're no normal child. You're special. Boon from the Devas. From Mahadev himself. Your born must be some cause for this entire world. But for us child, you can create our whole world. You know how you were born?"
She nodded in negative. She eyes were now bursting with curiosity. She had known everything of the universe prior, but never their causes. She foegot for the moment her father actually expecting something from her.
"You were born from renewal of a boon, Putri. Long ago I had got a boon from Rishi Durvasa to summon any demi-God and pray for an offspring. I never knew why he had given me the boon. Now I know it. But when I know it, I is exhausted. I am a human, Shivani. I made mistakes, and I got their results. I tried to know the wider side of inactiveness of my boon, I couldn't get it. But now, I realised, Devas did this conspiracy to give something bigger than boon of demi- Gods. And that was you,my child, boon from Mahadev, boon for the world."
She took a deep breath, and again started.
"But daughter, truth is thruth. You are the renewal of Rishi Durvasa's boon and your presence is needed if we want to summon any Deva. I hope you got what your father wants."
She took a sharp deep breath, and nodded still looking at the ground, now no twig on her hand, just bowing in reverence. A silence agreement passed between the daughter and mother, and they headed towards the hut in order face the emperor and start their journey to the highest pinaccle of Saptashringa.
~In Mathura~
The dungeons of Mathura was lifeless as a pit of death. Cruel laughters and spank of metals were only available there. Devaki would flinch in fear and disgust when the unearthly growl and moan came out from different cells. Vasudev would silently press her hands, and try to divide the fear.
The time for the arrival of their first baby was growing closer. Usually they would be left alone in the dungeons and the whole area from outside. No human life was available near their cells. Sometimes few soldiers or the commander would come to back then, their cells around for any defect and to give them food. They would usually leave them alone so that they could breed. They had to murder the future murderer of their Emperor. Their lonliness was there, but as the dates approached, their condensation of coming over and over again increased. Usually a child should have been Apple of parents eyes, a d bundle of happiness, but nothing could compare their fear of losing their life. Devaki and Vasudev prayed day and night, to protect their children, or at least their eighth.
It was a stormy night, when Devaki screamed in the stroke of pain near her abdomen. Her voice echoed to every cell of the dungeons. The soldiers ran as if the dance of death is started over. They had inform it to their Master in order to kill the approaching danger to him.
"Mas...Master... The baby...your sister Devaki... is-is about to give birth to her first child... what should we do?"
Kansa's chief commander ran out to his chamber, and breathlessly spoke to him. At the first wall seen on his chamber, there was a structure of tree with eight branches, and the root depicting the sign of danger. It was visible that the growl from the dungeon cell had reached his ears. He was waiting for it for a very long time. An unearthly chuckle escaped his throat. He played with a dagger, and aimed at the very first branch to his danger, when the cry of life vibrated in his lifeless castle.
~In the dungeon cell~
Devaki and Vasudev played with their very first child. Like any other parents, they forgot every bit of pain, just getting glimpse of their created life. Devaki rocked her child, forgetting every bit of fear she had some moments ago. Her face shone with a new joy.
"Its a boy, just like the devas had said."
She murmured to herself, and Vasudev didn't miss it. Both their faces couldn't hold their smile.
"Give that boy to me! Give me my death!"
The unearthly voice again stirred up the every bit of fear she renounced from her mind. She clung the newborn to her heart, and crawled to the darkest shade of the call.
"Thee shall fall in your feet, thou will rescue my soul, O' Lord of Heavens!"
She whispered looking up. The shadow of her brother came closer. She shut her eyes in prayer, but could escape from class of the devil form. The unearthly laughter she despised, increased mixed with the cries of the newborn. She saw her husband struggling with the soldiers to protect their child. She found no way to save her first born, only helplessly watching her son to be murdered. Soon the cries subdued. She still stood at the darkest shade. She saw her world spinning, and struggled to bring the last word.
"No!"
The scream of death escaped her throat, and she collapsed being not able to take the right before.
~In Vaikuntha~
"Narayan! Such cruelty in the face of earth! Surely he is the taint in the breast of Mother Earth! "
Laxmi flinched at the sight she saw while sitting amongst the Ocean of milk. She shut her eyes and guarded her face with her hands as if the blood had sprinkled over her face. The smile had vanished from the face of the ever smiling.
"Surely, killing children is one of the cruelest act on the face of the earth. This age is tyranny, and many cruelties like this would be seen on the earth, till it is not renovated."
His voice proclaimed the words like spell, which vibrated in the universe, and faint whispers reaching her ears.
