~In Hastinapur~
"Gandhari?"
Satyavati slowly stroked her hair. She coiled herself more in her blanket. Her innocent face bloomed in slumber and it felt having a good dream. Her face fell off from the pillow. Satyavati smiled at her and again placed her face on the pillow. She felt the wetness in pillow, with raw waters. Pityness merged in her eyes and she carresed her face slowly thumping her cheeks to wake up.
"Wake up, Putri. The dawn has arrived."
She couldn't whether she fluttered her eyelids waking up or still shut. After all she had the barrier from the lights. She tilted at bit on her bed and stretched her hands indicating her rise.
"What time is it?"
"The dawn of your life, dear."
"Wha-what do you mean?"
"Vyas will help us out, dear. Don't worry."
"Will-will he revive my son?"
Her cloth piece wrapped on her eyes got wet with her streaming tears. Her lips trembled to smile, or cry. She extended her hand in search of Satyavati, and she took her palm to her cheeks.
"No more crying dear."
She slowly pulled Gandhari who is now weak with all the traumas she faced. She led her to a dark and damp pit where the smell of soil spread like perfume. Satyavati left her hand and her hands impatiently roamed around the chamber While walking aimlessly, she bumped with something hanging from wall. She felt it with her hands, and found a cold yet warm and firm bag hanging.
"Wha-what is it, Rajmata?"
Her body language got tensed and she tried to feel the surroundings.
"Let me answer it, child. This is the womb where your children will grow to be well born."
Rishi Vyas answered while preparing the last or 100th womb in the pit.
"My-my children? Womb? What-what is it?"
Her voice stammered and shock was visible in her voice.
"The same question is mine also, Rishi Vyas. What does it mean?"
Dhritrashtra entered with Bhishma in the chamber. The mother and son looked at each other and smiled finding their plan successful. A tornado escaped from Bhishma.
"I am asking to Gandhari. Dear, do you think you can conceive 100 times in your whole life time? This is totally impossible for any woman and law of nature!"
"But-but what about the boon?"
"Lord can find a way, child. He is The Supreme and He knows the value of words! When he says 'Be' and it gets created. Nothing is impossible for Him."
"That-that meams I can have my children?"
A slight smile started appearing in her face. Vyas replied in positive warmly. All this time, Dhritrashtra fell silent with the turns of event. His voice started to break.
"Did you hear Gandhari, our children shall born! Our children shall born! And thou only will rule the world!"
Dhritrastra's voice echoed in the closed door, as if the conch of war begun.
