In a new interview with Gulte, the Pushpa star admitted that while she’s known for her dedication, her habit of overworking has come at a personal cost. “I overwork, and I’m telling you it’s highly not suggestible,” she confessed. 'It’s not sustainable. Don’t do it. Get those eight or even nine hours of rest because that’s what saves you later.' Her comments come shortly after producer SKN publicly praised Rashmika at an event for The Girlfriend, calling her the only actor who never demanded fixed work hours. “Let Actors Have Their 9-to-5 Too”

Rashmika explained that while she loves her work, she often finds it hard to say no to her team, leading her to stretch beyond her limits. 'If I could choose for myself, I’d say please don’t make us actors do that,' she said. 'Like offices have 9-to-5, let us have that. Because I still want to focus on family, sleep, and fitness.'

Her remarks add an important perspective to the ongoing discussion about structured work hours in the film industry, a conversation that reignited after Deepika Padukone’s reported exit from two Telugu projects (Spirit and Kalki 2898 AD’s sequel) due to strict 8-hour work policies.
