Here again, I have, in an earlier post, given a relevant quote which proves beyond doubt that Dury and Karna were friends from their boyhood days. Re-posting once again

From the Santi Parva, Narada's conversation with Yudi about Karna

[QOUTE]
In early age he made friends with king Duryodhana, led by an accident and his own nature and the hate he bore towards you all.

From the CE / (Shanti Parva, Adhaya 1 Verse 8)

Sa Sakhyamagmad Baalye Raja Duryodhanay vai
...
Baalaye is the word used here. Meaning : 'From his boyhood.'

And there is no ambiguity here. 'Karna' refers to Radheya Karna, not anyone else.

firslty what boyhood means in dwapar yug isn't clear

abhimnayu was around 30 years when he died was still considered a minor so boyhood here could very well mean after rangbhoomi as well

same goes for early age

in any case what i am saying is from the time karan left for parashuram till rangbhoomi there was no association between the two which will explain why in rangbhoomi no one recognizes him

No introduction was needed since amongst themselves, they knew each other very well.

It was the general public that was left wondering who this gate crasher was.

in citation right before karna displays his skill it is said he took drona's permission certainly he would have introduced himself he would atleast taken his name

he never introduces himself to kripacharya there is no citation in which he gives his introduction which means when he took drona's permission he would have probably told drona that he is drona's old student which is when people would have recognized him

and if everyone knew him so well why would bhima only after seeing adhiratha recognize he is suta son

they knew each other in gurukul but not very well definitely

even CE the superior translation states both curse and effect so it cant just be disregarded

^ , I wouldn't call CE the superior translation to be honest.

In Dwapur Yuga - there were four stages of life - Balya, Youvana, Koumara and Vriddhapyam

Balya stage lasted till 40 years, when Abhimanyu can be called a 'minor', a 'mere child', even when he was well above 30, Karna and Duryodhana were not above 40 when they met in the Rangbhoomi.

Keep counting. It doesn't change facts. Whole world? Greece, China , Egypt included? Seriously?

facts are not how you are portraying it to be at end of 14th day karna has an upper hand and he clearly spared bhima's life

if we compare drupad and karna to be equal they we are disregarding everything bhishma, krishna ji and yudhistir felt about karna's prowess

even i dont consider CE to be superior personally for me CE and KMG are the same

but since it is considered to be superior by some members here then karna being part of either drupad war or krishna ji's claim that karna was involved in Bhima's poisoning are both ruled out in CE

As per CE krishna ji doesnt claim that karna was part of bhima's poisoning at the end

this is what krishna ji says in CE

Sanjaya said, "Vasudeva was stationed on his chariot. He said, O Radheya! It is fortunate that you remember dharma. Quite often, when they are immersed in hardships, inferior ones censure destiny, but not their evil deeds. O Karna! When you, Suyodhana, Duhshasana and Shakuni Soubala brought Droupadi to the assembly hall in a single garment, did dharma not show itself to you? When, in the assembly hall, Yudhishthira, who was not skilled at dice, was defeated by Shakuni, who was skilled at dice, where did dharma go then? O Karna! During her season, Krishna798 was under Duhshasana's subjugation in the assembly hall and you laughed at her. Where did dharma go then? O Karna! Resorting to the king of Gandhara and coveting the kingdom, you challenged the Pandavas.799 Where did dharma go then?' When Vasudeva addressed Radheya in this way, Pandava Dhananjaya remembered all this and was overcome by great rage. Energetic flames of anger seemed to issue out from all the pores on his body and it was extraordinar

but there is no way karna and drupda can be considered equal in prowess when karna had his Kavach and kundal

the warrior whom krishna ji,yudhishtir and bhishma considered equal in prowess to arjuna.the warrior in who's fear yudhishtir spent 13 years in exile can in no way be equal in prowess to drupad by any stretch of imagination

I am glad you agreed that Karna was nothing without his kavach kundal. When Ajmal Kasab wearing a bullet proof armor kills Kamte, & Karakare when the latter were wearing faulty armor. It doesn't make Kasab superior.

FYI, Krishna said that Karna was un-slayable even without his armor.

"..The vanquisher of Vala himself, that foremost of heroes, wielding his thunder, is incapable of slaying the invincible Karna while the latter stands weapon in hand. Indeed.."

Karna defeated the 4 Pandavas without his Kavach and Kundal, he almost killed Arjuna too ( If not interfered by Krishna ). So, keep living in an 'illusion' that Karna was nothing without his Kavach and Kundal,

Krishna even told him that he was 'perhaps' superior to Arjuna ( even without the armor).

"..I regard the mighty car-warrior Karna as thy equal, or perhaps, thy superior! With the greatest care and resolution shouldst thou slay him in great battle. In energy he is equal to Agni. As regards speed, he is equal to the impetuosity of the wind. In wrath, he resembles the Destroyer himself. Endued with might, he resembles a lion in the formation of his body.."

Krishna feared for Arjuna's life even when Karna lost his Kavach and Kundal, I dont remember Krishna interfering when Bhishma and Drona fought Arjuna, Krishna used his illusions on Karna ( to prevent firing Shakti ), Krishna interefered many times when Karna and Arjuna fought ( Or about to )

Actually Karna sacrificing his armour has been made into such a huge deal and seems rather exaggerated. If his armour was so wonderful, why didn't it stop him from being defeated by the Gandharvas during the Pandavas vanvaas and and again against Arjun in the Virat War. Both times it is said that Karna flees from battle (unless you are running to save your own skin, why else would you flee?) If his armour and earrings can stop him from being killed, why would he run away?

With regards to Krishna...this is the same Krishna who told Karna that the Pandavas would be happy to make him King (maybe Yudhishtira would but I highly doubt it of Bhima) and Draupadi would also marry him if he left Duryodhan. I'd take these words of his with a pinch of salt (esp when considering his previous battles) and put it down to making sure Arjun didn't think this would be an easy fight. Damaging his ego like that was a way to ensure he would put his 100% into the battle. But that's my theory...each to their own 😊
