Yes,"Do the action.Face the reaction!"

Gandhari is a bit complex character. She was a great devotee of Lord Shiva(according to Mahabharat) and even obtained a boon of 100 sons from him.If she could reach to such a level i.e, please Lord Shiva why didn't her ignorance get destroyed.😕We know that many great devotees who could please Mahadev attained wisdom and salvation. And herself demanding a boon which is beyond human poise, a one hundred sons whom she can't even lovingly hug atleast once in a day!

Very well observed cherry, i second to u, Husband & wife is termed as the two wheels of a vehicle and both have to be perform equally and here if one is weak than other should have to be more powerful, and it is not the case in history also cherry women always been the support of their husbands (will post one reference).

Here Gandhari preferred to took the blindness of her husband only to make him feel comfortable, she at that point only thought about of Dhritrashtra and how he will be in the guilt feeling rest of his life, and to be a dutiful wife she too closed her eyes, she must have thought if her husband is not going to enjoy the beauty of the world so how could she??

But in my view if any spouse is weak than its more bigger responsibility of the other to take care of the flaws, i feels that husband and wife are the best friends before becoming anything else, because they have to share the whole life with each other and its the duty of each one if one is mistaking than other have to show him/her the right path, if Ghandhari have not taken this step, than she definitely know the evil plans of her brother & took care of her children in much better way and more than anything else whether a person can see or not is not that much matter but the thing which matters the most that is, if one has decided to not look at reality and choose to close the eyes of their conscience than no body can help not even Lord.

And its not abt. only Ghandhari, both of them are equally responsible they were so much blinded in the love of their son Duryodhana and because of him they have not thought about the future of Kauravs clan.

P.S. : No intention to degrade any of the mytho character though they have flaws but because of them we can differentiate between what to do and what not to do, all of us are grateful to them its easy to criticize but they had sacrificed their lives to give us lessons and their contribution will always be remembered in future also😊.

Life partner is considered as a friend in hindu vedic marriage system.During Saptapadi, the bride and the groom hold hands and take seven steps together as husband and wife as they walk around Agni, the God of fire, (the kindled fire symbolic of their new hearth) and pledge to each other their eternal friendship. What they say after they have taken those seven steps is unquestionably the foundation for a successful marriage. Together they chant: sakhaa sapta padI bhava sakhyaM tE gamEyaM
sakhyaM tE mAyOshaH sakhyaM tE mAyOshTaH

meaning : With these seven steps you have become my friend.
May I deserve your friendship,
May my friendship make me one with you.
May your friendship make you one with me."
And we have further confirmation of this essential commitment to friendship in the
Mahabharata. In the Aranya Parva of that great epic of the Hindus Mahabharata,
Yaksha asked Yudhishtira was "kimsvin mitram grihesatah?" i.e.Who is the friend of a
householder? To which the prince answered " bhaaryaa mitram grihesatah" i.e. the
friend of a householder is his spouse. In another question the Yaksha asks Yudhishtira:kiMsvid daiva kRutaH sakhA Who is man's god-given friend?Yudhishtira's answer was:bhaaryaa daivakRutaH sakhA
A man's God-given friend is his wife. Again the basis of friendship in marriage is emphasized. According to Hindus, therefore, the basis for marriage is friendship, this friendship is the understanding, the promise and the commitment that unites a man and a woman.

We can deduce from this!{Copy pasted Srujadi's post from another thread😛}

True Cherry, She was the great devotee of Lord Shiva, but still her ignorance was not destroyed, its differs from person to person how they look at things, every ones perspective is different from the other, so that their desires also, All the "Ashuras" they too have done penance and get the boons from Lord but what they do with that boon always try to destroy everything, and on the other hand there were so many devotees who have only one wish with them to get the glimpse of Lord, so the perspective of each one is different so that the reason for their penance and one more thing they were so blessed people all of them have seen Lord very closely, the Lord resides in their neighboring state, whenever they wished to have "Glimpse" of Lord they can easily visit Lord's place like "Chuti Bajake"😆(just kidding), but whats that fact which is still the same, which was there at time and still haunting at present , that fact is the truth is always the same but it depends on each individual when he/she wants to listen it😳.

Here Lord Krishna also said- I have given all the answers to the person who has question and dilemma with him who was looking for the answers not to them who were their to witness the Victory or defeat of others.

"Prashna Karo, Prashna Karo, Prashna ke Ghrabh Mein uttar chupa Hai "😃.
