I just googled and found out the answer, but had no idea about this story before. I am curious about whether Bhima's mace was a special, divine one like the Koumadaki.

The Ganga? Or one of its tributaries, maybe. I don't know the exact name but its either the Ganga or related to Ganga.

My siggies are from the show about Shiva - Devo ka Dev Mahadev. It appears @ 8pm on Life OK (the replacement for Star One), and right now, the serial is @ the point where Sati sacrifices herself after her confrontation w/ Daksha. The siggie above featured Virbhadra. Incidentally, I've not watched the last couple of weeks, since my cable carrier has dropped this channel, and until we switch to the digital service, we're not going to get it. 🥱

Just see the rules on pg 1, see some examples in the first few pages, and you'll get an idea. I agree that framing the questions can sometimes be tough if one is trying to put together challenging or tricky questions, but they don't have to be that.

I found nothing in Sambhava Parva about the name of either Kuntibhoj's kingdom, or the river. So doing a wiki check, it describes the name of Kuntibhoj's kingdom as Kunti, and places it somewhere near Avanti. That's why I guessed that the river was the same as the one that runs thru Ujjain. Of course, Wiki has its own reliability problems, so I wouldn't necessarily go by it. Not to mention that if Karna was born there, it opens a whole can of worms re questions about subsequent events in his life - maybe worth discussing in the Pandava Parivar thread.

I guess it's up to Shivang to make an attempt? 😆

Vrish, thanks for the info. I'll try to watch the serial online if possible. I don't get Life OK here.

I'll look into the game rules (for Games of the Yuga) and try to participate.

We can discuss Karna's childhood in Pandav Parivaar. There was a serial about Karna that was telecast recently - not sure of the name. There have been quite a number or serials and movies on Karna with a varied variety of stories. I have seen some animated stories on Karna too.

Varaali, I'll post the story of Asi in a couple of days. I have to refer to my resources. I was never able to remember the names in order.
