Yes, the sets of Ramayan were sooo beautiful. They spent a lot of money but it was all worth it, because many people initially watched Ramayan for the sets and later fell in love with the actors.😆 And yeah, Gurmina mentioned many times how Ramayan's shooting happened at Baroda. How did you miss it Miss featherbrain?😆 Haha, I'm just teasing you. Sagar Arts shoots most of their shows in Baroda, at Sagar Film City. That was where Sagar Arts' Prithviraj Chauhan and Mahima Shani Dev Ki were also shot. The Pushp vatika where Ram and sita met was used in Prithviraj Chauhan too for Sanyogita's garden.

Also, remember how Debina mentioned in an interview that when she returned to Baroda to shoot for her first role in Mahima Shani dev ki, she felt very nostalgic because she remembered being there for Ramayan? She had called Gurmeet to share her feelings and he joined her there to experience the place again.

Sabydeep was one of the most active members of Ramayan. Actually, you know him already because you posted a pic of him just yesterday.😆 This is him.

He shared this pic in Ramayan Forum, and mentioned how he met Gurmina twice, first time in Sagar Film city during shooting of Ramayan, and second time at their flat in Mumbai.

Well I never Watched Pratviraj Chohan and Mahima SHani Dev Ki (Except Debina Episodes) So Didnt know If they Have SHared the Common Sets, But i will try Watching them For seeing my Sets of Ramayan 😉🤣

I never watched Prithviraj Chauhan either, Varnita, but I watched some episodes on the recommendation of my friends. I don't think the entire sets were from Ramayan, but there are definitely a LOT of similarities. Prithviraj Chauhan started before Ramayan and continued when Ramayan started, so I think many episodes were shot simultaneously with the Ramayan people and PRC people sharing the sets. With MSDK, other than Debina's episodes I watched some when they were dubbed in telugu. They were okay, but I watched for the sets and graphics. They were similar to Ramayan.

Here's the article I'm talking about. It came out when Debina was doing her first role as Ganga in Mahima Shani Dev Ki.

It is home coming for Debina Bonnerjee who essayed the role of Sita in Imagine's Ramayan. She will now be seen in an episodic of Mahima Shani Dev Ki..

Debina Bonnerjee who is popularly known as Imagine's Sita will now be seen in an episodic on the same channel, albeit in a new avatar. Debina will play a lady who is in love, in Sagar Arts' Mahima Shani Dev Ki which is aired on Imagine.

According to our source, "It was like home coming for Debina who portrayed the role of Sita in Imagine's Ramayan. In Mahima Shani Dev Ki, she portrays the role of Ganga, who is today's simple rural woman. The episode featuring her will be a Special Episode, which will be aired this Saturday. The channel will be extensively promoting this Special Episode of Mahima Shani Dev Ki. Kunal Bakshi who was recently seen in Imagine's Meera will be the guy opposite Debina".

When contacted, Debina confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I play the role of Ganga who is a typical rural girl. The character when compared to Sita is treated differently".

Talking about shooting again for Imagine, Debina states, "It was like getting back home with Sagar Arts and Imagine. We shot for this particular episode in Baroda, at the same set where we had shot for Ramayan. I could relate with every prop present on the sets; it was an emotional moment for me where I could recall all the old memories. The last shoot that had happened on this set was for Ramayan, and I could even recollect the scenes I shot there. All my special scenes starting from Sita Mata's entry sequence, Swayamvar, Shaadi, the first night, to the sequence where we leave for vanvaas, and the Raj Abhishek were shot here. I always got a feeling that Gurmeet is just around, and would come out to shoot his scene. When I called Gurmeet and told him about my emotional moment shooting on the sets, he too came to Baroda on the final day, to share the experience with me. He was so overwhelmed that he roamed and roamed the entire sets thinking of the good old days".

On playing a typical rural girl like Ganga, Debina quips, "Well, this was very much easy when compared to playing Sita (smiles). There were no restrictions when it came to playing Ganga. I could give my own inputs to the character, and enact scenes in the manner I wanted".

The Maha Episode of Mahima Shani Dev Ki will be aired this Saturday on May 1st at 8 PM.

There was a scene in ASR where Debi was dressed in a golden Red Saree and was asking Ram why he is sad, in Uttar Ramayan. I lobved that scene. She was looking so pretty and divine

It Must be During some before or After the God Bharai of Sitaji, Ahh those Scenes were So Painfully beautiful 😭😭

Awww look at the Expressions at Gurmeet's Face, I always Loved these Soft Expressions ,

There is a Lottt of innocence, love and Sweetness in Them Which Worked a Lott with the ROle of Lord Ram, Isnt it ? 😉

Yeah, I agree with you. The Maharaj-Maharani scenes between Gurmina in Uttarkand of Ramayan were so beautiful. Debina was lovely and every single scene made me cry.🥺

No problem, you're very welcome.🤗 I'll try to hunt up other articles on Ramayan if I can. But some which we have lost are the newspaper clippings which I posted in Gurmina's wedding thread, remember? Now the links to those clippings are broken and I don't know where to find them.😭 Do you have them saved?
