I know, but its not just about singing well, its also about getting votes. If a good singer gets voted out right now because of regional factors, that means we will hear less good quality songs later on. So I'm forgetting about political correctness and fairness and just hoping that the bad singers get votes out by any means possible. Personally I think that Javed Akhtar is the best judge amongst all those present in different reality shows going on these days... His comments are crisp and he never fails to point out what went wrong with the singers... and he goes strictly by the singing rather than performance and other things that some of the judges go with.. I think Javed saab does maintain the judging standard of the show 👏 👏 👏

As for giving a standing ovation to Smita, well I agree that it was not of that standard.,.. In fact, kya jaanu sajan was a better rendition from her than Zubi Zubi... 😊 I think, after Kya janu sajan, when Smita landed up in bottom 4 it was big dissapointment for her 😕 , and her take was to do a different kind of song.. but then, I would have liked her to see do a Sunidhi Chauhan number probably than a Alisha Chinai... because she can pull off real tough songs... or if she had to do a Alisha number, she should have done Kajrare - which I think she wud have done better than Alisha 😉 I am hoping that she will sail through the top 10 on the basis of her talent 😳

BTW - thanks for sharing the article Maya... I think once Anu comes back.. its going to be Javed vs Anu on Smita vs Richa 😆

I hope so too... and actually Priyanka going out is going to help Smita as well.. coz we like it or not, India does not always vote on talent.. there is always a regional support and hence a split of votes from the same region...

I am hoping to see Smita, Dipali and Puja for sure in the top 10... and along with that - Charu and Richa too😊
