Sorry I beg to differ with you guys. Qazi ki to baat hi kucch aur hai. He's the most voted reality TV contestant. The other reality show winners had the country divided along regionalism et al. He's the only who had the whole country stood as one behind him and supported him throughout the competition. Qazi is a phenomenon yet to be matched by anyone. He's the only one who can boast of a loyal fan following from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

very well said Manju.I am so sad to see that even after reading that how difficult the life of the youth in Kashmir is,people are making fun of a young lad who tried to make a difference,to be a symbol of courage to the youth of Kashmir .He is someone who can tell them that they can still smell roses amidst the guns in Kashmir.Atleast Qazi gave the sony channel the courage to venture into a troubled state and look for talent over there,we should be proud of him rather than making fun of him.

Go Qazi,atta boy,i am proud of you and what u represent to the youth of ur state👏👏I hope they have many more like u.

Its easy for us to make fun of him sitting here in our safe haven but try making something of ourselves surrounded by the militants deserves a round of applause peole👏U know what he brings to the people over there ,he brings them HOPE something that they really need.

Now coming to this topic , Ani , Vijey and Modesty I understand ur point of view .....but remember we all have different views about what a winner in a singing contest should be ....

.the fact that Qazi came from an underprivileged area and made it big is an inspiring story no doubt.....but still it doesn't change the fact what many people think about his singing ability when he won (Though he improved a lot afterwards) ....

Tully Ho , I'm sure made that comment to lighten the mood bec I read his posts and he is an extremely funny guy ....but I am sure he felt for the youngsters in Kashmir otherwise he wouldn't have posted this article.... 😃

So guys let's not fight on this issue and deviate from the actual cause which is , how the militant group is trying to snatch away young people's dream to make it big.. ...hope the organisers decision to go ahead with the audition succeeds without any problem 😕

Bottomline is, to deny this right to the young Kashmiris we might lose the chance of seeing another youngster emerging from this area who is 10 times better than Qazi ..............

Ani, I assume that you like Qazi. That is fine as all of us have our choices but in my opinion we shouldn't bring any sympathy wave to talent shows. If we argue that a poor girl deserves to win the title because she needs money then I think it is an injustice to a rich guy because both are here to showcase their talent.

Qazi could be a good human being as shown on the show but in my opinion he is definitely not a good singer. I don't think majority always means the best one won. Majority in reality shows means that a group of people were more consistent in sending SMS. Good for Qazi.

Anyway let us not make this thread a Qazi support or bashing one because here the main issue is much more important.
