Yes I thought the topic was song selection and the caliber of the singers to pull off good songs. There are many many great modern songs that needs trained voices to pull off. Muftaqa was a great song and another guy tried to add some classical to Gal Mitti Mitti Bol. i forgot the other songs already which says a lot. Someone please message me if a better show with good singers comes on.

These back to back singing competitions with very avg singers are proof of that we don't produce that many great talent at least for playback singing in country as we claim. Or we may fail to pick the right ones.

Some days before I was watching one singing show in DD with Ismail Darbar and Usha Utthup as judges and frankly the singers are not even qualified for any public appearances, leave alone national TV. And I felt sorry for the judges because they had to listen to them every week and praise them/put up dummy fight as per channel demands.

Asha ji koi phansi nahin hain... in every reality show Production house is madaari and judges are bandar. Jo maalik bolega wohi karenge chaahe woh koi bhi rahe.. Ashaji kaya, RDB bhi agar hote to woh bhi channel wale ke tune pe nachte. Isse vidambna kaho ya wastwikta, yahi chal raha. Judges are getting so much money, they will be working for channels. Anyway, reality show could give just one singer out of 200+ finalists in 10 years then how can we expect a good singer.
