But since the topic has been raised, I would like to post one of Anwesha's songs from JJWS. Can anyone imagine any contestant from here singing like this?

Btw, we were referring to another musical show..very similar..all this what we are required or not is responsible for very low membership of this forum..a few more insults and I will be out of this forum..I don't need this kind of insults.

Anwesha may have performed this classical song well but the song for me is lost in technique.anybody who followed majority of show could see that she couldn't transfer her classical skills to non-classical song and I don't enjoy her voice quality. I will appreciate if you can state your views without trying to control and anger.

April, I think I had mentioned this to you in the JJWS forum also. It's great that you are a big fan of Vaishali and I do appreciate her as a singer too. But what I fail to understand is, why do you always and always bring Anwesha down in the same breath as when you praise Vaishali? Here also, there was really no reason for you to do this. Every time you try to douse the fire by saying that you are allowed to say anything as it is your opinion. Of course, I respect your opinion when you say that you think Vaishali is head and shoulders over all other singers in that show whether or not I believe it to be true. I will not dispute your view thinking that it is your opinion. But as Anwesha's supporter I definitely take offense when you bring her down without any rhyme or reason at any given opportunity. And I'm sure that you will do the same if I criticize Vaishali without any reason on a show that she is not even participating in.

I do hope that you understand what I'm trying to say and will try to respect the feelings of the other fans in future.

I have nothing against Awensha per Se'...I didn't like the way Shaan gave her special treatment. Nobody told the audience what family emergency was...we know that she didn't perform well in previous two episode and suddenly she was given leave of absence..Whatever happens on the show it should be transparent and above board there should not be any perception of favouritism, in this many felt that everything was not above board..

You have every right to criticize Vaishali's singing and I have right to defend her..that is what all show biz is about.singers put themselves on thee stage to make money by entertaining people some will like them and other will not..

I was going through the posts in this thread and was utterly confused regarding the topic. IMOH during JJWS2, which recently concluded, each of us had his/her favorites for whom we laughed, cried and even at times fought. But, let us not forget we are in this forum as we all love music; otherwise none of us would have spent time posting and discussing here.

Now coming to the discussion in the last few posts of this thread, why do we always compare these singers? Is it because this is a competition or people have different favorites. Both are plausible and make perfect sense. But, we forget that all these singers were in JJWS 2 because people wanted to listen to them; otherwise, we would not have discussed about this show, whatever be the topic even after it has ended.

Just as Anwesha has sung several hit Bengali, Tamil and Telegu songs; so have Vaishali, Sreeram and others in Marathi, Hindi and other languages. Why don't we discuss about these their appreciation threads? Not that all of us will like each of those songs, but, that way we will get to hear new songs.

All said and done it is a request to all to discuss only about Indian Idol in this thread.
