How sure were you of winning the title?
Initially, I focused primarily on getting through each round. I was sure that if I made it to the finale, I would definitely win. Also, my final performance was impressive enough to garner maximum votes for me. However, one can never predict the nation's choice and so, I had prepared myself for defeat as well.

According to you, what did the audience like most about you?
Indian Idol is primarily a singing competition. So, it had to be my voice and my style that was appreciated. Although a lot has been said about my smile and an 'X-factor', I believe that if my singing was not good, I would not have reached here.

What do you plan after the Sony contract ends?
For now, my career chart indicates the making of the album along with stage performances. I want to position myself in the music industry and so, I plan to make Mumbai my base. Although, playback singing is what I want to do, I also want to experiment with different kinds of music.

Which Bollywood actor would you like to sing for?
Undoubtedly Shah Rukh Khan. He is an amazing actor and I am sure my voice is as versatile as his acting.
