Btw, I don't completely agree with reason 4: 'good guys finish last'. Amey and Karunya were nice ppl as well as were Hemu, Nihira, Himani from SRGMP. But the media kept portraying Karunya as overconfident, arrogant and media-savvy which hurt his chances of winning. The excessive praise from the judges didn't help either. That hurt Amey too. He was getting good comments in every gala (yet hardly got the comments he deserved for Lagga Chunri) Sandeep was put down by Sonu so many times forcopying Udit Narayan's style of singing, he imitiated his way of talking. I guess that made people identify more with Sandeep than Karunya.

The reason is simple...Indians love the under dog...coz they have been that themselves for soo long....
it is changing now...we have slowly begun to like winners...the Indian cricket team, Sania Mirza, Narayan Murthy, we have slowly started liking the idea of confident winning....Reality TV is really new here...maybe after some years we will have a change in mind set

1. judges appreciation for karu.....sympathy votes for sandeep
2. sandeep is fairer than karu (defines beauty to someextent in india 🤢 ) well karu just isn't as good lookin as sandeep. looks are the most important thing in this competition...... 😕 sorry it took me a while to realize that its just another mr. india contest)
3. karunya doesn't hav a 24/7 smile, he dosn't show offf his beautiful smile as much 😛
4. karunya is from hyderabad, its not that they dun watch it or dunno it, they know better than to get provoked and fil the pockets of sony....hasn't succumbed to irrational sms voting yet (i'm sure it never will, after what happened to karu). its a big city, ppl hav better things to do.
5. bikaner mass voting for sandy.
6. sony and press labeling karu as arrogant and sandeep as humble sweetheart.
7. karunya was the best. when u r the best, ppl try to find fault with u, to put u down.
8. press turned this whole into north vs. south when there was no need to, asthough bikaner vs. hyd wasn't enough.
9. karunya didn't do aerobics excercise on the stage 😉 😆
10. karunya is honest and straight forward, ppl prefer diplomasy and politically correct

Who cares what the reasons are....I still don't believe that Karunya lost. How can you call someone who has made so many people happy just by being himself a loser (I'm not blaming you Pragya...I'm just saying generally!). To me Karu and only Karu is the winner. I'm sorry but in my heart I've already accepted only Karu as the Agla Indian Idol and I don't care what the rest of India says! It's too bad that India doesn't consider someone as talented as Karu as their idol but the only thing that this says to me is that Karu was destined for things MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH Bigger than Indian Idol! I'm definitely not watching if another II starts coz I've lost belief in it! But I believe that Karu is a blessing from God to us and nothing can change that! One door closed only means that there are about 1000 others that have opened up for him which will take him to heights that noone would've imagined and he'll make every person who didn't vote for him regret having done so! GOD ALWAYS BLESS OUR KARU and MAKE OUR WINNER (KARU THAT IS!) AN ICON WHO WILL NEVER SEE ANYTHING BUT SUCCESS!

i believe god has bigger plans for him ...i am pretty sure ........and i think getting a trophy and branded as sony winner may turn out to be a curse as no winner in these shows so far got any success in music industry 😉

i agree with u guys i dont have an answer aswell...
karu is a great singer and i also think he deserved to win i liked both of them karu and sandy but there is no doubt that karu was more deserving when sandys name was announced i was in shock i couldnt sleep all night i was asking myself that question but i had no answer..... 😕 ...i felt really bad 4 karu but he was really brave and he acceped the results so hats off to karu .......... 👏 👏 👏
