Something to watch for in the whole show is how Sony will emerge. Will Sony emerge as a channel beyond petty regionalism or a channel that emerges and goes beyond the regional barriers? When I say emerge beyond regionalism I mean for both Karunya and Sandeep. Hyderabadis should not vote for Karunya just because he's from Hyderabad but because he's talented and ditto with Sandeep. Karunya's victory will not only prove that talent has been voted to victory but also that the show has evolved above regionalism. Will Sony follow Zee or will it start and set a trend of reality music show beyond regionalism. Something to watch for....😊

very good point made....but really speaking does it make any difference for these channels...they just want to make money when they can...but one plus point about II2 which was missing was that atleast the judges were fair and above regionalism from the start unlike srgmp where talented singers like Hema & nihira were not fully supported even by so-called music learned people (mentors) 😉

agreed, i feel the channels must behave more responsibly, making money and earning trp's shudnt be their only aim. i felt tht ii1 was a lot better and less senstaional, srgmp set a precedent 2 others shows 2 sensationalise and dramatize everythng and now ii2 is foll the trend

i don't think it matters to them ......the main concern they have is of channel rating and money they can get out of it ......i don't think they really care about these contestants ........one thing i am happy about is Karunya getting more votes from all other places than his hometown......that really made me proud that they love him for who he is and for his talent not becasue where he is from ..... 😊

exactly very rightly said i think they should break all barriers n make talent n only talent win the competition but they want trp they want ratings and as it seems that sandeep fans r really voting alot for him they can make sandeep the idol and make the junta happy but everyone can be happy only wen something gud comes out of it like karunya so i m really keeping my fingers crossed for him becoz i know indian idol is a big stage and atleast they will make the idol fiarly..!!!

It's true that all that these channels care for is money because they are in business and they can't help but being business minded. Even from that stand point will Sony create a niche of it's own by emerging above regionalism or will it be another chicken in the poultry farm? If Sony followed Zee then Sony cannot call itself different from its competitor. Sane business choice would be not to do what your competitor does. The sane choice at this point in time would be to do exactly the opposite of what Zee did. Fortunately, Sony has pan Indian appeal which Zee lacks.
