but if he didnt give the performance worth praising for...then how cud the judges praise him? and farah khan did praise him wen he didnt do too well
i mean wen the judges praise sum1 for the rong thing...everyone says the judges dont noe wat their talking bout...they're being biased just cuz he/she is their fav.....etc etc....
newayz.....i do feel sorry for anuj....the walk-out....the controversies...all fingers being pointed at him wen he wasnt at fault...he was a good singer...he sang really well in piano round.....i guess the gala's weren't too lucky for him
If I am not to the stander of yours as a singer do not praise me it well and good but do Insult me either. Because you being a judge you should be more courteous or humble.

| Name: Anuj Sharma Age: 29 From: Kangra HP Date of Birth: March 6, 1975 Place of Birth: Rehan, Himachal Pradesh From: Delhi Education: MA in Music (Vocal) from Amritsar University Keyword: ANUJ |
One of the oldest contestants in the Indian Idol talent show, this young man from Himachal Pradesh was told by Anu Malik, "Tumhari aawaz Himachali seb ki tarah meethi hai." He has made it to the final three despite some lukewarm performances in previous episodes. He had been asked by the judges to improve his singing. In fact, many had expected Anuj to make his exit instead of hot favorite Amey Date.
Anuj was always interested in singing. However, it was only a few years ago that he decided to seriously pursue singing as a profession.
Today, Anuj learns music from Pandit Baldev Raj Verma in Delhi. He has also completed his post-graduation in music and is said to be learning sound recording as he feels understanding music arrangement is essential for singing.
Anuj's favorite artists are Sonu Nigam, Ustad Ahmed Hussain, and Ustad Mohd Hussain. Very adept at himachali folk music, he prefers it to popular film music although he loves old hindi film songs.
Before Amey Date was unceremoniously chucked out, he was Anuj's biggest worry. Says Anuj, "Amey is a good singer. He has the X factor and appeals to the image of a perfect Idol."
I wanted to quit Indian Idol then: Anuj Sharma |
| As The Indian Idol Contest approaches its Grand Finale, Subhash K Jha chats up the three Finalists... Anuj: "The feeling of being in the Top 3 is beyond words. I can't believe Karunya, Sandeep and I have come so far! Yes, there was an ugly incident some weeks ago when people protested at the elimination of Ameya Date and my inclusion in the contest. I was pained and shocked. The judges and the audience were all discussing why Ameya needed to be in the running. But no one asked me how it felt to be dismissed in such a rude manner. Very frankly I was numbed. Why was it happening to me? When I was about to be voted out earlier, no one had spoken up for me. And if they so loved Ameya why didn't they vote for him ? I thought it was wrong. I wanted to quit there and then. I felt like a loser. I felt I had no business standing there on the platform. But the judges assured me they had nothing against me….And I was praised by them in my very next performance. I've been singing since my childhood. I used to sing in mother tongue Himachali (I'm from Kangra). Now I've a chance to sing in Hindi. Indian Idol has got me a national platform. Logon ne bahut pyar diya. I plan to continue my struggle in Mumbai. Meri pehchaan to ban chuki hai. Now I'll work hard. |
