An appeal !

An appeal to all music lovers of india.

i am requesting all the music lovers of india, not to forget these facts!!

INDIAN IDOL, as the name suggests that, its an INDIAN talent contest. so, please i request all indians to forget their regionalism, n respect the talent...and vote only for talent. when contestants sing, please close ur eyes, n listen...then u will listen only to a voice from india..if that voice touches your heart, then belive your heart and vote for that voice.
too much regionalism spoiled the gr8es talent show SAREGAMAPA. just becoz of that, we lost the most talented singers like HEMACHANDRA.
all i am requesting you guys is.
1. please this is not a beauty contest, dont vote for some1 who appeals to ur eye. which voice appeals to ur ears is the most important thing. if you look at last american idols, you will know how less importance they give for looks.... if americans can vote with lot of maturity, why cant we? we are more culturally rich than them...

2. this is a music contest...so, please dont give importance to the performance. as they become confident, as they prove themselves in singing, they themselves perform well. performance can be learnt even afterwards, slowly.....talent in singing is wat we are looking for, so, please lets concentrate on that.

3. this contest is not for beutiful smile or beautiful hair, or lips or eyes...this not the contest for best dressed person or, stylish person.....1st n foremost important thing is talent..if there is no talent, then wats the use of beauty...we dont want our indian idol to become a laughing stock..right?

4. and lastly, please forget abt whthr the contestant is from east, or west, or south or north... if you like a contestant, forget abt whr he/she is from , n who she/he is...just dil khol ke vote dijiye..
( i feel karunya has lots of potential, but his major drawback will b the fact that he is from south...main problem with south is, 99% of the ppl in south dont even watch hiindi cannels leave alone these kind of contests..if you like karunya, thn plz dont stop voting him thinking that he will get many votes from south..it will neve happen that way...if you look at AP, Tamilnadu, Kerala n Karnataka..you can very well imagine, how many really care abt hindi..sad but true..tats the main reason for HEMACHANDRA-SRGMP-ZEE TV, to lose, inspite of the fact that he is the most talented ..it feels sad if the same story repeats in INDIAN IDOL too)

i hope indian ppl wake up to the talent..n will choose the most talented contestant as their INDIAN IDOL 2.

dil se vote mat dijiye...but dimaag se keejiye...dont let ur decision influenced by emotions!!

well said...but unfortunately this doesnt happen in reality....look, not in every1 in india is highly educated and many arent open-minded-----they dont really care how well the contestant sings as long as they belong from a certain region.

And as for voting for the good looking ones----thts again very frustrating but no one can really help it...the majority of teen girls r bound to vote for the good-looking ones....

heyy ima teen and i wud vote for Ameyy cuzz his voice is magiccall and hes sooo cuuute!! and niiice!!

but i cant vote cuz i liv in US but if i cud i wud alwaysss vote for Ameyy!!! he tah bestt

hey mister i completely agree with wat u said except for one....

99% of south india doesnt watch hindi ???? where r u mister ?? which world..just because there r regional channels down here doesnt mean nobody watches or is not bothered about hindi....
pls dont post crap like that.. im from blore n i have sent close to 300 votes to abhi..mayb there r not many votes when compared relatively to other regions but people r not jobless over here..

its sad that hemachandra lost but its only due to high crass commercialism shown to the other two..vineet n his love interest..but thats not the issue here..if karunya deserves to win he ll gather votes from all around india juat like the way abhi n amit did....
