Abhijith was deserving in 1, I didn't know Amit was telugu.
Sandeep was desering in 2, though I was a die hard Karunya fan, I would not deny a winner his title. he had a beautiful voice, so I wouldn't question his title.
the quality of singing wasn't good in 4 so I dropped halfway through so no comments. I liked the voice quality of both Amit and Prashant in II3 and if I have to say Amit would've been my fav, I like Emon to some extent.
Saurabhee is not bad in 4.
This has been the best II in terms of qualit and any of 10 singers would've been worthy of the title.

Biography

Amit Sana was the runner-up in the first season of Indian Idol, India's majorly respected singing talent hunt. He was a classical singer previously, but

after coming into Indian Idol, he started singing modern Bollywood songs as well. He has shifted to Mumbai now to help his career find the right pathways.

Before participating in Indian Idol, he had completed high-level classical singing classes and was studying as an engineering student in information

technology and management. He is also interested in dancing as is seen by his numerous stage show performances. He sang Albela sajan in the auditions

flooring the judges. His knack of choosing such off beat tracks helped him get into the limelight. He sang the then unpopular track "Zindagi mein kabhi koi aaye re rabba" against a lot of opposition from fellow participants. He took a risk and it worked in his favour. Soon the song and Amit scaled to new heights.

He has sung along with Indian Idol winner Abhijeet Sawant in Abhijeet's first album 'Aapka Abhijeet Sawant'. He also has successful solo album releases like

'Chal diye' in 2005 post the Indian Idol success.
Post Indian Idol came Star Plus' 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar'. Amit participated in the hit reality show but his performances were met with mixed reviews by the

judges - Vishal-Shekhar and Farah Khan. He seemed to have lost a lot of his singing prowess and was eliminated from the contest.
The talent hunts gave him the room to expand from classical singing to popular music and he has been noticed across the country. Amit is now immensely

popular, despite not winning the title crowns. He is currently getting many offers for stage performances and has also emerged on the scene again with his
new album 'Yaadein'.

The talented singer is slowly making headways into Bollywood and has already recorded songs for the movie Sun Zara. In fact Amit has sung four tracks in the film.

Besides this, he has already lent his voice in famous movies such as Kalyug and Delhi heights. With such young talent and opportunities galore Amit sure will do himself and his fans proud very soon!

yes, not many know Amit is of a Telugu origin, though bought up in Bhilai he is from a Telugu family, I think because of his father's job they moved to Bhilai before he was born, why I know all this is because I once met his brother in Mumbai during II season 1 when he came to visit a friend of mine , my friend and Amit's brother happen to be school mates.
