^^ What an AWESOME song. The 'Jaanemann Jaanemann' chorus at around 1.25 just gives me goosebumps. There is such an inspired concoction of genres, melodies, instruments, beats, vocals in this song. Wow... just wow.

People said he wouldn't make it - he became one of the biggest music directors in Hindi cinema ever.

People said he could only do light, cacophonous stuff - he did Border and Virasat, which pushed the boundaries of melody in Indian film music

-He has done a period film, Asoka
-A light classical album, Umrao Jaan
-Broadway style Jaanemann and Bride and Prejudice
-Invented a new genre of comedy songs, from Garam Chai to Tan Tana Tan
-Brought back the qawalli in an updated form, in Tumse Milke DIl Ka
-And brought a true pop flavour into Bollywood music
-Has produced the definitve soundtracks for Hindi war films, in LOC Kargil, Border, and Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo
-He dealt with darker themes in Aks and Fiza
-He did all of this without any formal training in music and without working in a musical duo or trio

These achievements are what take him to the big league of composers. Best wishes to him!

Did anyone see the latest epi where a contestant is asked "why do you wanna become indian idol"..and he says "because I'm not indian idol"..and anu at the end tells him he's got an attitude problem and goes on and on...i thought that was SO FUNNYYY..anu is freakin HILARIOUS

i reli find anu funny and not so bad jst sumtyms he can be rude lol

yesterday he had a crazzy girl fan who wanted a kiss lol he was so shy and also happy to have a fan lol

lol yeah it was too funny. It's good that he's getting some love for a change. Nahin toh usually people come to II auditions to meet Sonu, Salim, Kailash, Sunidhi, Udit or Sonali...

Anyway, I don't believe that girl was a real Anu Malik fan. Even her tattoo was obviously fake - she drew it with a sketch pen lol. Anu Malik ka mujhse bada pankha na kabhi hua hai, na kabhi hoga, chahe woh kitne bhi tattoo laga le!
