Memories of Indian Idol 1

I know Indian Idol 2 is starting in 2 days...but I can't help feeling a little nostalgic and I wanted to share my experience about Indian Idol 1. I'm also interested to hear abt the experiences of my fellow indian idol fans.

Here are my memories of Indian Idol 1: When I first started watching the show, I found it a little boring. There were so many contestants...I couldn't remember the names and faces. The first contestant to draw my attention was Amit Tandon...obviously because he was so cute. I started liking Abhijeet when I watched his Tadap tadap ke performance in the piano round. As I watched the galas, I found Abhijeet more and more fascinating with every performance and I found the show more and more exciting. The day the final results were declared was the happiest day for me because Abhijeet won...and I will never forget that smile on his face. It was also a sad day for me because my favorite TV show was over. I'm really looking forward to II 2 and I'm sure a deserving contestant will win again but I feel that nobody can take the place of Abhijeet in the music industry and in my heart...😳

Hmm I have some fond memories too.. the rush of people, the emotions that overflowed, how Sonu Ji told Rahul he would make it to the Top3, the "getting famous" process, the vote frenzy, the tears I wept when Rahul got out...the finale excitement among everyone.

for me indion idol was unpleasant to,first ears(so many bathroom singers)
second-eyes(to many eliminations,too many tears),even till now when i listen amit's mohabtein lutaaoonga....jo har gaya wo jung jeet ke aoonga....... 😭

I CRIED WHEN RAHUL WAS VOTED OUT..................ALL MY COUSINS WERE RAHUL VAIDYA SUPPORTER...........

i like amit sana 4 his first performance with abhijeet .....donno sang jaduterinazar...vavavavavav awsome ..amit sang sososososo romantic then abhi...

since Indian Idol was not shown in US...the first time i saw them was in the II website and i thought that it was just another copy of American Idol...and when i saw Amit sana & Abhijeet on the II website...my first expression was i knew abhijeet was liked by all becuz he was cuter..so i supported Amit but then the first time i heard abhijeet sing, i was totally in love with him...and thereafter every song that he sang made me fall in love with him even more...but i agree with you Abhi_fan no one absolutely no one can ever take abhijeet's place

i remember how i used to be very angry when Ravinder used to get votes inspite of bad singing! 😡 i remember how i cried when Rahul Saxena was out. 😭 i liked both Amit and Abhijit. 😳 😊

Wow its fun to read ppls memories...

All i remember is tht i started watching frm the 3rd piano round..(thts wen i came to india for hols) and the first time i watched it...I was lyk its so pathetic... and since i live in singapore.. I was lyk indian idol is crap... singapore idol was so much better.. then.. I just watched it for the first few galas... cos my cousins there luved watching it... and wen we came back to singapore... my mom just caught up with the indian idolfever and slowly i also began watching it on a regular basis... at tht point in time i dint lyk abhijeet at all...once i think wen harish got out or sumthing .....abhi n harish were the last two in the bottom 3... and i kinda used to lyk harish... so I was lyk saying Oh tht abhijeet guy shud go now (due to unfamiliarity as at tht time he was inconspicious)..but abhi dint go....s0 i was quite irritated.. and also i once remember fastforwarding abhi's perf. cos it was too boring...

And then one day i see shilpashetty commenting on his smile.. saying how sweet it was.... at tht time i just gave the tv screen a skptical look and sed Yeah Right... but i dun really remember the immediate time after this.....all i recall is tht after tht i was maaaaad abt abhi ..now the transition phasebetween an abhi disliker to a mad abhi luver ... I fail to recall... All i noe is tht after tht i wudnt even miss the 15mins short videos they had on tv of II...

caught it too late. saw it in bits and pieces. but the only performances i remember are by RV.he was the one and only reason i saw the programme.
wasnt that crazy about him initially, as i was sure he would win and would be here , there and everywhere in the news after he won.realised how much i was fond of him the moment they announced he was out.i guess that's when realisation dawned!

well... my Indian Idol and Abhijeet experience started wen both Abhijeet and Amit came on Batliwala House no'43... around March time b4 the final's in India...first tym i saw Abhi i was like oh hes cute.. there was just sumthn bout him that was so attarctive...prob his smile 😳 but i didnt really know hu these 2 guys were!
then the next day i saw them both in the Fimfare awards and i was like there's that guy again (abhi) and they were introduced as the II finalist. i was lky oh thats like the Pop Idol show in UK.

Then Hum Rahe Na rahay song came on Sony alllll the time.. and realised that they were prob the last 10

wen II started in UK 4 us in May i was soooooo happy bcoz by this tym Abhi's song Mohabbatein was always on Sony and i was crazy bout him... i have all the II episode 4m the first to the last... and it was so good seeing the ppl hu cud sing and thse who cudnt!!! and i also started to recoginse the ppl 4m the song Hum Rahe...

i knew hu was the winner and in the top 3 but it was sooooo good watching it all
