Why wasn't Amrish Bansi Selected?

In the Delhi auditions ... The music teacher Amrish Bansi sang wonderfully, and i really enjoyed him singing and he was certainly better than most of the contestants they picked from Kolkata.
I wonder what was going through judges' minds when they told him he could not go to the next round...

Also, i find it surprising that only 11 people were selected from Delhi , though there were 36 from Kolkata...
Is it that Kolkata actually had better singers than Delhi, or was the bar only raised in Delhi Auditions but not in the Kolkata Auditions...
Is it fair to the Delhiites that the bar was raised only in their city?

I thought Bansi was really good too.. the judges made a wrong decision there.

I am writing them about this, if we all mail Sony that Amrish Bansi should be selected, they might just bring him to the theatre round.

Bansi was good. I wish he was selected.

I know! 😔 I felt so horrible after that.... because I really thought he would be selected. He sang so well, especially the first song.. and if they dont think he is 'modern' enough or something, there is always room for improvement. On the basis of singing, he far exceeded quite a few of the contestants who were selected.. definitely a judgement from the judges which I did not agree with. Sigh... anyways, we'll look forward to the upcoming auditions. 😊

he was good enuff to go to the next round atleast...wen he was singing, i was thinking he wud make it...was actually surprised wen he left...

Did all the judges have a bad mood or what?
Not only Delhi, only 1 person was chosen from Punjab.
I cannot believe that a city like Delhi in which atleast 40 people are usually selected, only 11 were selected... Even in London had more people were selected (in II3) than Delhi and all the people abroad sound like sh*t.

I think the judges just didn't have the mood to give the yellow cards...
