This show is honestly starting to become a joke. I can't believe the Indian Idol I grew up watching has been reduced to this. Coming from someone who liked seasons 10 and 11 also, how could they reduce a bottom 5 to bottom 3? How can they purposely sideline contestants so that they can eliminate them? Nachiket went from being marketed as versatile and entertaining to a "nobody" singer.

2 of the Top 9 singers (SMP, Anjali) right now are contestants from 2017 srgmp which had Kakkar and Himesh as judges. Nihal literally wakes up without taking shower, goes to the set, sings a random song, and is a Top 9 singer??? Sawaii forgets the lyrics half the time he sings and is in the Top 9??? Ashish forgets the lyrics and does the same damn songs and is Top 9???

The second I saw that bottom 3 I knew the show was rigged. Danish and Nachiket were the 2nd best today outside of Pawandeep and Arunita and they were in the bottom! The only saving grace of this show is that Arunita was number 1 in votes. At least the public toh akal hai.

I fear they may give Sayli the "Nachiket, Sireesha" treatment next as she is a threat to their favorites SMP and Anjali.

Seriously.. Why bottom 3 instead of bottom 5😕

I agree with you. Some of the folks here are very protective of their favorites.

When Sirisha was eliminated: mild outrage.

When Nachiket was eliminated: tons of outrage.

I am not going to say who has better voice and command but it is obvious.

One person is shy and reserved. (Gets some sympathy and no 1000 word posts).

Other person is good looking, friendly, and has slightly lower voice quality/command and makes best of his ability. (Tons of sympathy and outrage).

Folks complain about specific performer not getting face time and their 4th or 5th song and a random complement being edited out.

Clearly Arunita, SMP, Danish and Pawandeep get most facetime.

What about poor Anjali and Sawaii. I am not saying they are best out there but are they getting fair share of facetime.

I might as well take some of the hate posts for other contestants here and post on twitter accounts of all the judges and SET

Why are some labelled as bottom 5 always .it's all about the performance and anyone can perform better and be in top 5 among the 9 contestants . If Nihal takes bath or not in the morning or straight away comes to sets it's his life who are we to comment on his personal choice. Moreover has anybody seen or observed him 24 hours to comment on such things .Why label him lazy and bullakkadd all because Sony portrayed him like that, sony has created an image for him and you guys label him which is incorrect .I have seen few of his performances , which are really great . I think he really works hard .He deserves to be in top 9 .

The reason why there is so much outrage right now is because it’s all been built up over the weeks. At least, that’s true for me. I was just as mad that Sireesha had to leave but I was hoping something like that wouldn’t get repeated but it did. First it was Sahil, then Anushka, then Sireesha, and now Nachiket. The most important part was is that they were all treated very badly before they were eliminated. Especially Sireesha and Nachiket. Not being given as much screen time as the rest of the contestants, not airing any judges comments sometimes, and no extra screen time. At least Sireesha got a proper farewell with Chitra ji’s message. They also showed a video of her meeting Amitabh Bacchan with her dad. Nachiket wasn’t given any such farewell or closure or even appreciation.
We all know that eliminations are bound to happen, but how did the majority of the forum predict that first Sireesha and then Nachiket would leave? If the eliminations were fair then they should come as a shock to us all, right? No one should have been able to predict them with such certainty.
It is the unfair treatment given by the channel to each contestant that is infuriating. Every contestant should be given equal opportunity to sing, every contestant should get constructive feedback from the judges and no one should be disproportionately favored. Is that too much to ask?

Everything from his intentionally OTT aalaps, his dialogues and acting (tbh I don’t think he can act, pls stick to singing post-show 😅), to his YouTube presence, IG reels, etc. displays that he understands exactly what this show is about.

And tbh I’ve always found him a lil too gimmicky for my liking because I think he is an excellent singer but really dislike songs being over performed. But everything he does is precisely what you need to go far in this TRP-crazy show. Future contestants should learn from him.

Agreed . In my opinion all contestants should be treated well . I literally was in tears , felt bad for Nachiketh as he was not allowed to sing on holi episode . On 28th he sang so well . He was ignored and even Sireesha was ignored. Nschiketh didnt deserve to go .Too much importance is given to a few, which is incorrect . Does it mean others are incapable or bad singers ?? . All the remaining ones are good and unique in their own way and have their own fan following .But putting down a few contestants always and labelling them to be deserved to be in bottom always is also incorrect .There is scope for improvement , correction always. This week someone may be in top 3 and next week if his/ her performance is not that great can be in bottom 3 . But in this forum they always label few contestants as bottom 5 or 3 contestants , even though someone's performance is better they fail to acknowledge .I am not a fan of any contestant. I love watching all of them . It is incorrect to label and put down any artist , which I noticed the most in this forum .we may not know the pain that they have taken to reach where they are now, nor their background/ if they are trained singers or not we do not know . how can we judge them ??. Let us encourage all and support our favourite contestants without putting down any.

It’s sad to lose such such talented contestants but in a few days the emotion would have settled down. If arunita is ousted then I won’t watch similarly if one of your liked contestants is ousted then there is a feeling of loss and resentment but life goes on. I think everyone has the freedom to express their outrage and they will either no longer watch the show and won’t vote. None of us have any personal interest in these contestants yet we wish them the best for their future and how the fare in the music industry Long term is really their luck and efforts.
You don’t have to win a contest to be successful. I wish all eliminated contestants the best in the future career.

@ sahilkapur 18 - Have you lived with Nihal 24 hours to comment on him not taking bath in the morning and going to set and singing random song . Is it possible ??. Stop spreading unknown information .Even if he does that it's his personal choice , we are no one to comment on that , he sings well . It's your opinion and all may not agree . Same goes with other contestants as well .
