In an effort to make intelligent conversation and heated discussions a common occurence here, I as a responsible member of this forum shall hereon write certain artcles every once in a while that shall issue what I like to call again- intelligent conversations.
This time's topic- Dilwar.
If we are to like mature individuals list down Dilawar's many qualities, that list will read::
1-honest
2-caring
3-dedicated
4-unafraid
5-trusting.
He lets his fiance go to Mumbai, inspite of knowing how her sister backed out of a marriage that was preordained. He faught for the virtue of that very woman, when another tried to incriment her. He waited patiently for the woman, never making any demands on the marriage date. He cares enough about her to understand that her time in mumbai would have vorunted a companion of sorts. And he's completely honest about everything in his life, from his accounts to his feelings for her.
Then pray tell me why- do so many people on this forum hate him so? He's what you'd call an ideal man, goodlooking and brawny, besides all the above qualities.
Thus I fail to really understand why everyone around here doesn't think twice before saying that "I hate Dilawar" . Just because you have a penchant for the Adi/chandu pairing , doesn't mean you hate a perfectly innocent fellow, who doesn't even know the half of what the truth is. And who's fault is that? He asked the gal if she met anyone and what did she do? She flatly refused. Doesn't that make her guilty. Shouldn't she be the one you should hate?
And yet, there isn't one person here who's supporting poor dillu.
Allright, now lets take a critical and unbiased view of why one would hate him.
If its because you're imagining this is ddlj and he's the parmeet sethi- well he's not the one who shoots birds in the sky and promises to marry chandni and then go abroad and have fun.
If its because he'll get married to chandni and Adi won't have a chance- well then thats Chandni's fault isn't it? Aditya gave her a choice- she had a choice, Dilawar gave her a chance to tell him what had transpired. So thats not Dillu's fault either.
If its because he's handsome and charming- well then I can't convince you otherwise.
The point of this entire thread is to create dillu loyalists- make one's out of us who're so blinded by Adi/chandu chemistry that we don't see an innocent bystander.
Give him a break guys.
I support Dilawar- do you?
