In the chawl, Chandini who can't see properly because she has a face pack on asks Beeji that she wants water. Beeji comes and is surprised to find the 2 buckets of water which had stored missing. Just then Mukund's mother comes upto her and asks to borrow some water as somebody has stolen water from their house. Another woman also pokes her face out of her house and says the same thing. Beeji says what sort of a city is this where people steal water. Just then Romeo comes with a bucket of water each for Beeji and mrs. Godbole. He catches sight of Chandini who is still standing and teasingly asks her is that how she is going to present herself in front of the foreigners. He tells her to go in a jhakaas manner because it is India's reputation at sake. Romeo then informs Beeji and Mukund's mother that Damle Bhai has come and that they should meet with him.
Damle Bhai is standing outside and telling all the chawl people that whether they have any complaints. Romeo comes there along with Beeji and Mrs. Godbole saying that they have a problem. How come their wells are dry when Damle Bhai has full water. Damle informs them that they have to pay the water tax to a man who is standing there. Mrs. Godbole tells that they had paid the money only last month and everybody realizes that Damle must have pocketed most of it. Damle takes out a list and says that Prem and Vidya owe Rs. 450, Mrs. Godbole Rs. 500, Romeo 650 and Chandini Kapoor rs. 750. Everybody is shocked and Beeji says that they have come barely 2 months and how could they get so much tax. Damle informs her that the previous tenant had not paid the money and therefore they have to pay that as well. He further announces to everybody that unless they pay the tax, water is not going to come. He leaves amid loud protests.
Beeji is angrily pacing the room while Chandini is getting dressed. Chandini tells her that now even Beeji has become a part of this city as without thinking she just leaped into the Mahabharat. Beeji tells her it is the values and valour of Punjab which is rising up in her. Whenever they see wrong things happening, they have to rise up to solve it. Chandini tells her to let it be and shows Beeji a wad of money saying she has lots of money, but it is not hers. Beeji is surprised at the amount and Chandini tells her it is the money to get badam milk from Mushtaq Bhai. Just then a boy comes and informs Chandini that the Ic driver has come and has been honking for quite some time. Chandini looks at her watch worriedly and tells Beeji she has to leave as Mushtaq Bhai's dairy closes by 7. She tells Beeji to not worry too much as her BP will go up, to not get involved in the chawl's Mahabharat and to have dinner.
Everbody at IC are busy decorating the office with flowers when Kavitha goes upto Varun and asks him about a broker who knows of cheap houses in Bandra because her friend wanted one. Smitha all the while is looking hopefully at them. Varun glancing at Smitha assures Kavitha that the houses are half the rate and good as well. Just then Adi comes and worriedly demands to know where Chandini is. Amy hurriedly says that she stopped by Mushtaq's dairy to get badam milk and therefore she must be late because of heavy traffic. Adi looks at his watch and tells she better come fast as Vishesh's plane is to land soon. He leaves and Amy stares worriedly.
Chandini is standing outside Mushtaq's milk dairy and is dismayed to find it is already closed. She thinks to herself what will she tell the others and the whole welcome will get spoiled because of her. Suddenly she sees a big hefty goonda standing in front of her and is shocked. The goonda says that she better not trouble Sheeba anymore and thrusts a ticket in her hand saying it is a one way ticket to Jalandhar and if she or her Beeji are seen in Mumbai again, he will harm them. He leaves and Chandini stares after him in shock.
A tensed Chandini walks slowly into IC where she is met by a worried Amy who asks her that she can't cover up for her everytime and that Adi was also asking for her. Everybody comes upto her and asks her where is the badam milk as they have to welcome the guests with that. Chandini is wondering what to tell them. Just then Adi comes in and tells that Vishesh's plane has landed and the delegation is expected to arrive in 10 minutes. He congratulates everyone on a job well done and tells that now all they have to is to pour the milk into glasses and everything will be set. He leaves and Chandini thinks to herself that how will she tell the truth to Adi. He won't believe if she says there was water shortage in the chawl and that is why her day went bad, how can she tell him that Mushtaq Bhai's dairy was closed before she could get there or that she was threated by a goonda? She catches sight of the Matharani idol and prays before it. Just then Jenny comes and tells her that somebody has come to meet her. Chandini goes to the reception area and is very surprised and happy to see Mushtaq Bhai. Mushtaq Bhai tells her that her Dadiji had told him about the order and that he has bought the badam milk. There was nobody to help him out and so he himself bought it to IC. Chandini profusely thanks him, but Mushtaq Bhai says it is only his duty. Chandini hands him the money and he leaves.
Everybody is anxiously waiting for the delegation when Adi comes in and announces that they have arrived. Everybody hurriedly take up their positions near the entrance to welcome them. Chandini is standing first with the teeka, Ami next to her with the garlands, Kavitha next to her with flowers and then Smitha and the rest. Vishesh comes around the corner followed by 3 foreigners. Vishesh is pointing out everything and the foreigners are looking at everything with interest. Kabir is thinking that just like before independence, now also they are standing to welcome these phirangees and he wonders what sort of news have they brought along. The welcome starts with full gusto. Chandini applies teeka, Amy garlands them, Kavitha throws flowers. The foreigners like everything and shake hands heartily. Smitha serves them badam milk and one of the foreigners ( I presume it is the leader ) compliments Vishesh on the welcome preparations and says it is very nice. Everybody claps and then he says that they have come here to join hands with IC so that they can make the BPO one of the best and take it to the top. He goes on but Chandini is lost in her own thoughts about the goonda and Mushtaq Bhai's words. She comes back to the present with a start when everybody starts clapping after the foreigner finishes his speech.
Chandini and Amy are walking when Chandini tells Amy that she needs a 2 favours from her. One is that she should cover up for her for 2 hours and the second is to find out where she can meet Sheeba.
Chandini is in a modeling agency where the receptionist tells her that the models will be coming out of soon. Just then the elevator door opens and Sheeba comes out with 2 other models discussing whether they should go out for pizza. She catches sight of Chandini and is shocked. She tells the other models to wait outside. A determined Chandini walks upto her and tells her that if you think I will quit so easily, you are mistaken. Any of your empty threats won't make me turn back. Whenever I have faced obstacles, they have only made my resolve stronger. Sheeba asks her if she is mad. Chandini informs her that her loved ones are much more important to her than life itself and she that she had made a vow before leaving Jalandhar that she would return only after bringing back her sister. Sheeba taunts her and says that your big dialogues are just an excuse to cover up your fear. Chandini tells her that in Jalandhar, my father would close the doors by 6 pm and I was myself scared to go out in the dark. But now the city of Mumbai and people like you have changed me. Now I ventured out in the dark at 2:30 just to meet you at the hotel and again today I am doing so. I am no longer the same darpok Chandini. She turns to Sheeba and gives the ticket back to her along with a piece of paper telling her it is her phone number. Sheeba will one day understand the agony of being separated from a sister and the day when she will realize that, this number will come in handy. She walks away and Sheeba stares after her.

Preview of next episode: Kabir tells everybody at IC that the meeting between the IC management and the foreigners has been going on for 4 hours and god knows what announcement they will spring upon them. Amy says that they can do anything, just let them not cut their pay packets. Smitha is dismayed on hearing this. Varun tells Adi that he along with all the other IC employees represent the aam janta and everybody is praying that the merger not take place as they are worried about their rozi - roti. Sheeba calls up Chandini and tells her that she will take her to meet Manisha tomorrow. Chandini is very happy to hear this.
