This family doesn’t even do puja together in the mandir or near the tulsi plant. Their morning ritual is waiting in the living room as Imlie cooks for them or something before they give her an earful.
I miss the banarasi silk sharees and the kundan jewelry. It made sense given their stature and opulent life. The Chaudhary’s weren’t the smartest with money even in their hardest time but they knew how to live large.
Apart from one comment from Malti saying that Imlie is used to comfort so she married Surya because they’re rich or one scene where Tayyi is shown to have some business, there’s no real indication of luxury in their daily lives. The intro scene for Tayyi which was shot in the bar set had so much more personality.
They showed us one South Indian maid in the kitchen but aside from that, where’s the rest of their staff? Tayyi was shown to have people wash her feet in basins and all. What is their business even that Chachi had to give her ambitions so Chacha could go and tend to it during his days?
The village vibes they are totally gone. Even the outdoor scenes don't hit the way they used to do previously. The roads and surrounding jungles don't feel like it is some part of village. I know it is just our mind playing with us as the whole shooting location is still the same . Nothing changed but still. Pehle ke outdoor shoots mein lagta tha the characters are roaming around the bar ,old factories, shops of the villages.
yeh reddy family bas regressive hai traditional nahi tabhi no Pooja path no tulsi ji ki importance. And creatives think they can connect with audience. kis galat phehmi mein jeete hai. Chaudhary family ke ending scene tak chacha said that they should stop worshipping tulsi ji as they didn't respected their Lakshmi their bahu.

Khandaani jewellery and all that stuff jo bete ke Hathon bahu ko diya jata hai. Dadi jate jate bhi Imlie ko kangan de gayi. compared this to Surya Imlie reception. How uninspiring Imlie jewellery looked like.
Tayi ji ka intro scene was decent but Sonali ka was on another level. As you mentioned yeh reddys ka business tak defined nahi hai . Lost show family has education business, legacy is indulging in lawyers ,Pandya store meim it's all about their legacy shop. Audience aise connect karti hai ek family se.
