I am wondering when exactly Uday went and prepared the second version of Malai Kofta..well forget the fact that if anyone can malai kofta then they cant themselves that they cant cook. its the hardest in my opinion. All the Rathores + BM , BD and U were there only in the living room. Or the single room of Rathores

I know it seems out of character for Aryan to not believe that Arpita wouldn't say something to him if she was important and tell Imlie that she shouldn't interfere in his 'family' matters, but is it really? Aryan's pride and his family have always been his blind spots and the things that make him act most unlike his more rational and strict persona. Just because he has been built up to be a 'perfect' person and pati, doesn't mean that he actually is - he's a complex and flawed person and that is what makes him interesting! (I also feel like the criticism for Imlie vs. Aryan is very gendered but that is a wholeeeee other conversation 😂)

Aryan has never responded well to Imlie looking into his life, he never liked her interference in his matters and he's always been super protective and possessive of his mom and Arpi. We saw this during Arvind-related things too. Imlie has said before that she and her life are an open book to him but he does not reciprocate. That is still very much the case in my opinion.

The first couple of tracks after he came in were around Imlie and her life, so we got to see her struggle and fall weak and him come in and be her support. Post-marriage we've seen that shift to tracks that are about him and his family (because she is finally privy to them as his wife, he's still a mostly closed book) so now we see him struggle and fall weak at times, now Imlie will come in and be his support during those times. That's their 50-50 relationship coming out. You can't just have Imlie be in trouble/wrong all the time and Aryan come in and fix things - it leads to an unbalanced relationship where Imlie is never really able to be a strong person/character on her own because she is always overshadowed by the magnitude of 'Aryan Singh Rathore'.

Aryan is a good mentor and a good friend to Imlie and we saw those relationships build over time - but it took time to become both of those things and we got to see progression in his feelings and actions towards Imlie in 100+ episodes. He was harsh to her in their first few interactions, those roles didn't come naturally to him. Post-marriage we are now seeing him shifting from the mentor and friend role to now becoming her husband and family, which is a very different type of relationship and feeling.

Aryan isn't a good husband or family member to Imlie yet. He doesn't really even consider Imlie his wife and family yet - you see this in him continuously reminding her (and himself) that she's just his employee. After he tells Imlie to not come back at the end of the Arvind track, he says that he wants to move on with his family and then names his mom and Arpita only. If he can't fully recognize or admit to himself that Imlie is his family, how is he supposed to act on it properly?

Most of their current relationship's intimacy and understanding are carried over from their mentor and friendship relationship - which has served them well as the basis for them being together (e.g. him having bharosa in her not cheating is him knowing her character from knowing her and working with her for months, this is not a husbandly thing for him to do IMO) but now we're starting to see that that's not enough for them. They are butting heads and playing this push and pull game that results in misunderstandings because they haven't figured out their new relationship dynamics yet.

This results in him doing stupid things like locking her in her room or saying hurtful things like 'leave me and my family matters alone because we'll deal with them ourselves' (I'm going to be honest, I cried when Imlie cried about not having any apne after Aryan said this - I was so heartbroken for her). It's not really a malicious act nor is it necessarily character butchering of Aryan, it's simply them struggling to get to the next step of their relationship.

I think this track of the Sundar-Arpita wedding track is meant to bring Arylie closer together and give them more insight into their feelings for each other. I don't think it's going to do 100% of that work (future tracks like the rumoured ex-gf entry and Meethi forcing Imlie reveal will do this instead) - instead, it could just be that it reveals the Aryan not thinking of Imlie as a family piece (which started to happen during today's episode) and gets them to resolve it. It's going to be angsty but ultimately their relationship will be stronger after they go through this together.

I loved how Imlie threw his words back at him in the promo for tomorrow and told him that she was removing herself from the situation rather than just giving in and staying when she didn't agree with what was happening. That's what makes the two of them together so interesting - they never back down from the other, and eventually bring the other around and work with each other to fight battles together.

It's going to be interesting to see what Aryan's response will be to what Imlie said in the promo, he's a little bit of a gadha 😂 though so I don't expect him to correct himself or apologize right away - probs going to take him more time.

none of this is wrong, but it does require the writers to be as thoughtful as you are, haha.

We are boss and employee, I am your boss, I will start fresh with my family, you needs to get out for your and my family, don't try to be typical wife, don't act like typical bahu, don't interfere on my family matters.

I trust my wife, she is my wife imlie .

He needs to decide whether he wants her to wife or employee??Which words are mean to him???

His self defense mechanism and his over protectiveness towards his family, in this process he is hurting imlie. Instead she drown herself on pain she is hitting back his own words to him. Indeed that's what makes them different and interesting.

points to note.

Imaliya considers apna sacha dost, amma and kaki ma and arpita now apan apne. What happened to her precious T bhakti. Who were her apne? Wasn’t her relationship with those apne independent of her relationship to their khandaan ka chirag?

Any who this was very sad. I felt for her. Poor kid.

Aryan needs to stop getting defensive about his forcing the wedding. All this crap only comes out when he is correlating how Imlie was forced to marry him. That guilt is killing him n making him lash out. He is still thinking she hates him and is forced into this fake wedding to keep his mom n sis happy. So he is unable to think of himself n his family meaning as much to her as tripathi’s did. Therefore, for him she is not family like for her (as per him) he is not family.

but seriously this could have been written better. Tiffin se nikal k kofta khilaya aur kissi ko doubt nahi hua? Or were they talking for hours in the living room and we saw only 5 mins of convo.

You should make this as a separate topic on the main forum. 😊
you gave a new perspective to today’s episode.

This is so beautifully written and thought out!

I initially was so disappointed in this episode that I felt like here we go, taking one step forward and two steps back. But you’re correct in saying that we’ve had over 100+ episodes where we’ve seen Aryan fall in love and have never really seen any indication of how Imlie feels. She was too obsessed with her ex to really find any closure from that but now that she’s comparing the two of them and how much Aryan trusts her, things will change.

As an SRK fanatic, Imlie could be using logic from KKHH that “pyaar dosti hai”. Instead she’s following MPK philosophy, “dosti main no sorry and no thank you”. She saw her vision of him as her friend shatter when he forced her to marry him. Yeah, he gave her an out but then, people-pleaser that she is, couldn’t just turn her back after doing all the ceremonial things.

Yes, when her mom’s part comes into play, he will be shattered because he cannot bear to see tears in her eyes caused by anyone but himself. Only have there been a few instances where he realizes that he’s made her cry and fixes it.

lets wait for tomorrow and see if need to gear up for another 10-15 min wala break up with 2 angsty songs played in bgm. My bet is they will play ‘jag suna suna lage’ and ‘ chipana bhi nahi aata batana bhi nahi aata’ respectively. 🤓
