What I feel is Aparna might have asked Imlie to give Adi chance and Adi also might be giving her tough time with his loser face . So to escape from all these nonsense and to cut all hopes of Tripathis and Adi she might be initiating the wedding . Moreover I feel Imlie might have thought of Malini’s baby’s need to get Adi’s name . Adi might have put forth a condition before her to show him she has moved on and don’t have any feelings for him . But Adis plan of challenging Imlie will backfire big time as Imlie will go ahead with the wedding . Aryan is pissed coz he is dragged into this mess , when he thought he can properly nurture his feelings what he gets is pure nonsense and challenge . So probably a deal marriage to keep Adi at bay and to make him realise she is now unattainable for him .
Of course there may be more reasons from Anu or Malini side but Adis challenge will play catalyst coz Imlie is a girl with dignity and she will never agree to play second fiddle in Adis life nor will she agree to come back breaking Malini’s marriage .
Moreover there will be more maligning of Imlies name with Adi coz now he is a married man and someone might just blow up the scenario to put Imlie in bad light . Adi might be displaying his majnu avatar badly . So to probably get out of this scenario she will be the one asking for help from Aryan as in the case of Tripathi house .

💯 You know I was thinking something similar to this only but just didn't know how to put it across. Thank you for this coz this seems plausible. They can't ruin Aryan's character & show him force Imlie into marriage but Imlie proposing it to keep Adi away from herself sounds good to me. She trusts Aryan enough to go ahead with this. I'm sure Aryan would be reluctant as he doesn't seem to be a guy who takes marriage as a joke. Imlie would have to really convince him to marry her.
