I can watch this scene in a loop
Watching this, I just had a thought .. I know many factors played into Adi's misinterpretation of the room scene and situation; and the juxtaposition between watching a husband naked with the salty half-sister and watching a man putting a coat on a wife simply doesn't compare. Adi really shouldn't react negatively, and he still thought to give Imlie rhe benefit-of-doubt, but still succumbed to his feelings of abandonment and woe. Why? Other than the divorce papers and Malini's words, why did the scene affect him so? Why does Aryan in Imlie's effect him so?
I can't quite put it into words but perhaps Aryan is a mirror of the affection and support Adi was once able to thoughtlessly muster and feel for Imlie. Adi's feelings and perspective have turned sour leading to his change of equation with Imlie - he can't trust his worth to her, his relationship, and himself. He knows he's wronged Imlie many times and perhaps thinks the nine lives (and many more used) have run out. Imlie, on the other hand, had utmost of faith in him, their relationship, and their potential; which is why she stood by him and tried to fight for his rights. She knew that Malini didn't have a place in Adi's heart romantically essentially was not a risk to AdiLie. Malini is insignificant whereas Aryan can take up the space in the room.
Dunno may that's the difference between the sliding scale of light and dark, positive and negatives, benevolence and maleficence.

I haven't watched but read the synopsis... it was a colleague and Kamalika (Malini) saw Baha (Imlie) with the colleague and told Archi (aditya) about it suspecting that it was an affair. After which Adi goes full crazy mode.
"Kamalika sees Baha and her colleague on the street and informs Archi suspecting Baha is having an affair. An angry Baha threatens Kamalika with filing a case if she interferes between her and Archi. Archi reminds her of Kamalika's sacrifices and Archi and Baha end up separating with Baha moving away. Kamalika is diagnosed with a terminal disease. She goes to Palashboni and donates her money to build a hospital there. She dies in Archi's arms on her birthday and leaves her child in his care. Baha feels Archi will never forget Kamalika and leaves." - Taken from Wikipedia
But in this story Malini did not turn evil. She did not rape Archi and stuff plus I don't think this angle was as hyped as it is in this version. I am def ARYLIE... Fahmaan goes - I go. I stop watching this show.
Imlie will become a doormat FL if she returns to Aditya.
couldn't help myself . @bold is very dramatic and morose 😲😲 but doesn't feel Shakespearean
I'm kinda glad this isn't the story we're getting even though I didn't think Malini needed to be this skewed in dark territory. While I had issues with Malini's character sketch - by altering her so deeply, the conversation shifted from kinda feeling bad for her as well as conflicted between Imlie's situation and hers to just hating and blaming her. I can't help but think they did this because it was hard to navigate between the complicated layers they made. It also made it easier to justify Adi & Imlie's situation and scenes of love without too much pushback. It's sad because I think any time a meaty story comes around, parts of it gets trashed to fulfill the production's house endgame.
Though there has been some buzz on and off about Gashmeer moving out/wanting to move out. So if that happens, I don't know they may end up showing Adi Babu becoming devdas and dying? Pata nahi, but obviously Gashmeer and Fahmaan both can't be out. Dekhte hain kya hota hain.
Gashmeer seems freakin' exhausted with the trainwreck that is Adi. Even in the Live he said something along the lines that it's a rollercoaster experience for him that's starting to drain because what the character was and how he's panning out has been challenging. I do not think he'd leave the show though ... somehow, it'll feel odd if he does 😆
Y'all this title "Daddy Issues" 🤣 Twitterverse lit like always 😆

honestly Adi's mind playing tricks on him was really nicely shot. AryLie's photo is cute - their smiles really give this sense of contentment and joy. Fahmaan always looks like he's laughing when he smiles. 😳 I generally think Sumbul and Fahmaan have a really nice gaze, too. Their eyes twinkle

I cried so much today. You guys were spared my unnecessary play-by-play commentary. I just couldn't do anything but be swept away.
I came here to cry. Oh Imlie. I want to hug her. Again Aryan gave her his hand.
I have a feeling that Aryan and Imlie won't be forced into marriage. It doesn't follow the feel of their dynamic so far. I have a feeling they will prove the world wrong by proceeding as if they've done nothing wrong. It's clear Aryan cares for Imlie. I think seeing this his mother will calm down and let Aryan and Imlie progress naturally.
Imlie also needs to accept this divorce. Aditya isn't that same Aditya anymore. I wonder how long she will walk around in that sari until she finally accepts that. My heart just breaks. But she's right. "Hum Imlie hain". She will rise again. This time with Aryan's help. And while she rises she'll squeeze her away into his heart for good.
@bold - I 100% agree with this! I really don't see a forced marriage or coercion for their union
@2nd bold - Really like how you phrased this - I initially thought they were going to show Imlie broken and deep down in the dumps BUT I'm glad she was just being listless and unaware of the precarious situation she put herself in. It wouldn't fit Imlie's character arc for her to give up on everything AND herself. Interesting to note, while AryLie both have unburdened themselves to one another in a natural unfolding, Imlie choose to clarify herself and her actions to Aryan. She did not do the same during the divorce reveal but I think that's purely due to Aditya repeatedly having drained everything out of her. She just doesn't have enough gas within her tank to carry Adi. & like Libran said, Imilie's anchor is Adi and Adi is spiraling so he's of no use
That's exactly what it looks like. Let's see how it unfolds tomorrow.
It's interesting how he treats the two women in his life so differently. Malini did worse to him and he goes and deletes proofs of her wrongdoing to protect her, let's her stay with him and his family and takes responsibility for their child. On the other hand, Imlie, who is also his wife, has done NOTHING. LITERALLY, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. He didn’t see anything, and yet he goes all out and defames her before the world.
🤬
I also dislike how he chooses to malign and throw accusations about Imlie in front of his family ... never once had he thrown Malini's character to the dogs in front of an audience. Why different courtesies? & why accept that it's okay for Aditya to do that because he's depressed and heartbroken?! 😔 It can't be blamed on the fact that he's so disheartened by Imlie, Imlie's "lack of support", Imlie's liaisons with Aryan, Imlie yelling back at him, keeping her self-respect and reacting at him when he went to pick up from Aryan's house. People say she showed disrespect to Adi, but that was probably one of the first time's she had no patience for his whiplash-inducing actions. No real human being would say "yes, thank you for coming for me and telling me I can come back to your home while your baby-mama (someone you clearly know has problems with me) is there. I'm so happy to be your never-depleting battery even if it means disrespecting myself" 🤪
Love the scenes of AryLie in the park
He extended his hand to her bc somehow that seems to be a measure for him to evaluate just how okay Imlie is.
He keeps a respectful distance most times unless they naturally gravitate closer. Aryan and Imlie are somewhat similar in that they communicate via body language and feels
The moment he stops her from collapsing seemed more intimate and connected than him carrying her. Somehow the most innocent of actions (like the hand holding) feel the most intimate for them
&& most of all, I love that he seems mature and experienced enough to know Imlie is empathetic, she needs to go through it in order to rise up again. While he seems to have evolved into a rigid personality and tends to feel one should push through the pain akin to one taking on a challenge, he's willing to bend once interpreting and understanding the situation. Subconsciously, he also seems to have accepted Imlie in some capacity because the warmth or kindness he gives her is similar to the one he shows his family.
