Aryan-Imlie/ AryLie Discussion Thread, DT Note page 102 - Page 39

So I finally found some time to jot a few thoughts down.

Todays Arylie scene was not only so beautiful but was also very insightful.

1. I loved how when Imlie pointed out that she felt like she was being used to tear AKT down because she is his wife Aryan did not deny the fact that he knew. He in fact told her that he would never use her... or anyone else for his personal vendetta.

2. The first point leads into this... no matter what his misunderstanding is ( i think he believes Adi killed his brother in law but we all know that Adi was only trying to save him) his attitude towards Imlie will always remain as an individual and not as Adi's wife or someone he can use to hurt Adi. He will only hurt someone who he thinks has wronged him. He will not cross a line with anyone who has done nothing wrong with him. This indicates well set principles and clear morals.

3. Aryan making Imlie realise that what she has gotten is an outcome of her hard work and nothing else. AKT has repeatedly pointed out that she is doing well because the boss is her friend, or 'meherbaan on her' completely undermining her talent and efforts. Aryan cleared that misunderstanding too.

4. Why did he extend his hand? I think I know. In the past whenever she has fallen she has still had an attitude or given it back to him. For example when the car thing happened she was yelling at him even after falling and calling names - she had that confidence. In the office for the first time he saw her low self esteem and her low self confidence. He wanted her to know that if she aims for the skies she can do it and he will help (in her career). Extending his hand was a show of support when she needed it the most.

If Imlie goes back to Adi... after everything she will be nothing more than a doormat who would have essentially given Adi permission to mistreat her. Imle needs to maintain the stance she has taken and keep her spine.

One last bit of analysis 😆

In this scene when Imlie is seen rising up, the camera level has been placed at eye level to show her emerge. Aryan is going to help her rise above her problems, he is going to help her emerge as a winner. Their hands were linked because he is going to be there for her.

Khair coming to what I wanted to speak about - contrasts that have been too glaring to avoid between the Aryan-Imlie and Aditya-Imlie equation

Accident: Aditya and Imlie met the first time because of an accident. She was brimming with happiness on receiving a scholarship and he was touring Pagdandiya. And after that one meeting, everything went downhill, which led to forced marriage. Aryan and Imlie met the first time too because of an accident when Imlie was at her worst, walking out of the very marriage she chose to uphold on her own and Aryan coming into the city with an agenda of his own. Since then, things although not too happy, haven't been that grim. Infact, she has just been climbing a ladder slowly and steadily.

Homecoming: When Aditya had no choice but to bring Imlie home, he introduced her as the servant, being the wife to which she complied (don't know why) stripping herself not just of her dignity, but the wings to fly. She is an educated girl, not someone who should be the househelp, even if she assumes that koi kaam chota ya bada nahi hota. Aryan was faced with a similar predicament, due to the same "ousting from hostel" drama, and he brought Imlie home, respecting her dignity and turning it into a rental agreement. She was introduced as a tenant, in fact, a guest as well.

Rain: So this is upcoming as we all know, but the thing is rain is the very thing that had led to marriage by coercion. Another such rain brought Aditya and Imlie close. And we have another rain, which is leading to a divorce between them. But what does the rain bring for Aryan and Imlie, who knows? Have to wait and watch.

These are the only 3 I have seen till now. I will post if I see and remember more.

Do keep sharing Imlie's life before Aryan as many new viewers don't know much. I believe both will have a journey together how far needs to be seen. Right now I bother only about what events lead to divorce ? Apart from the serial, I love reading the loving analysis done here. 💯❤️🌹

I am not sure how protective he will get for Imlie, but he will be alert for sure. Cause if Malini tries to interfere with his agenda for Aditya, Malini and her mother are done for. When he actively does something for Imlie, then I will acknowledge that bhaiyya sirf professionally hi nahi, personally bhi involve ho rahe hai Imaliya ke laane😆

Hey, guys! Just like a lot of AryLie fans, I also started watching Imlie after ASR's entry. Loving their equation so far. Haven't watched the show before that so my knowledge about AdiLie is very limited, just some clips that I've watched here and there through the last year. This thread has now become a chilling spot for me when I find a few free moments during the day. Tried going through threads in the main forum but feels like war zone, more often than naught because Adi can do no wrong and Aryan is the worst creature to ever walk ImlieLand. Exactly this.

I happened to look at a post in the main thread and it made me wonder - so what if someone came in at episode 1, episode 100, episode 200, 350 or now?! The story progresses as it does and these characters are perceived in a similar manner as to how humans we meet in real life are ... from their current actions. Yes, to a certain point, we might ignore certain inconsistences or give benefit-of-doubt if a character's/ history has fostered support or distrust but in the event that background is needed - patiently share a viewpoint or outline a process of thought. Instead, the commentary is defensive and decisive. Here, I appreciate that we praise the actors for the portrayal they're fully committing to and I enjoy the discussions in this thread bc it allows for thought and rumination without persecution

On a side note, if there is push back towards Adi, Malini, Anu Chaturvedi, etc from new viewers with different perspectives and backgrounds, doesn't it mean that the collective perspective of "what's wrong is wrong," calling a "spade a spade" is applicable? Doesn't this equate to a friend telling another the situation doesn't look good?

Anyway, chaado - I'm happy to chill here bc I feel relieved to finally be able to freely discuss aspects of the show

Will he get protective? I am not so sure. He is a decent guy for sure. But from Aryan's POV, I think he will be alerted to the characters part of Aditya's life and also get a first-hand face2face idea of the misery Imlie has been put through. He kind of operates on vigilante mode, so I am curious, will he be protective of Imlie or alert regarding his AKT agenda.

I somehow feel knowing the dynamics and the situations Imlie has faced, subconsciously on some level Aryan will turn protective towards Imlie..
