I suppose the only value of the ring is that in the beginning it did roll away and stop at Imlie's feet, indicating it was really hers. But after Malini has been wearing it? No. Better to have it melted down and remodelled for Imlie or sell it and give the money to an orphanage or something to help Pagdandyia.

So he does look like a temporary timepass character.....Didi ka focus Adi pe hi rahega and she will remain at the center of Adi-Imlie's relationship in every way.

Your post reminds me of a dialogue I once heard. A couple true test is in the mundane. It is always easier to maintain a connect with your partner when you have a life and death situation or NDE or feel like you are going to lose that person. But when you have to face day-in and day-out normal mundane situations with that same person, that is when your relationship is put to the actual test. That is when your compatibility is actually put to test. Until Imlie does not face that kind of situation she will never understand the importance of Adi in her life. As for the disconnect, woh toh mujhe last full mahine se lag rahi hai in Imlie's character, but I am willing to write it off as her being like the confused 19 year old who does not want to accept that she has to deal with this situation differently than she has managed her problems before. Baaki toh hopefully Sita Maiyya sambhal legi.

I understand your point regarding the mundane things in a relationship but I don't think it applies in Adi-Imlie's case.

Their relationship is not only built on high-voltage life and death situations....they've had many convos about mundane, simple things....they've lived in the same house for a while now even if not as husband-wife....so it's hardly like they haven't shared small/everyday things with each other in that time. They've talked about all manner of random things, she's shared her random songs and life theories with him too.....

The real test of a relationship is being able to show your unvarnished side to each other daily and still being able to keep the bond going.....these two have already had that for a while.

Sadly though the writers seem determined to dilute them long term to prop up Malini. My sense now more and more is that Imlie being kept in this vague zone is also a deliberate choice from the writers.....they will never show her truly trusting/believing in Adi....she may say it on the surface but never really believe it with conviction inside....it's a flimsy trust that will ultimately be insecure about the very Didi she claims to be acting mahaan for😆.......what a sad waste that's going to end up being if all Imlie ends up being is another insecure wife who will doubt her husband's love for her.....lol so both wives will keep doubting the validity of his love for them for different reasons.....lol Malini is like he never showed this much concern for her in 7 years.....meanwhile Imlie is like he could never really love her cuz she isn't polished and beautiful like Malini....waah kya story hai. 🤔

Matlab rishton ki samajh kisi mein bhi nahin hai par mahaan sabko banna hai.....lol they are all morons in different ways at this point and there is no one person trying to rise above the fray.

That is exactly what I felt as well. They really need to work out their relationship insecurities before moving to the next step. Unfortunately with the way the others are saying about trends and how the story has been progressing, expecting this will disappoint us viewers only. So I am taking the road ahead as it comes without any expectations. I hope that this ultimatum helps bith Adi and Imlie evaluate their priorities for each other and take a decision that makes sense for both characters journey rather than some token lollypop or TRP trick.

True he is a guy of facts and believes in the truth. His behaviour on the past was more to show imlie that it’s okay to move forward which imlie is to learn that falling in love is not a crime.

I hope like how he had his heart to heart talk with imlie famliy he gets the chance to do so with his family. It maybe me but I feel once he is secure in imlie resolve and has her support he will own his truth. He has done so each time when pushed be that his feelings for imlie or his fear. He has owned each one.

This is why he wanted to tell Maline the truth and he also told her why he wanted to be with imlie. As he has told imlie in the past this is there relationship and nothing else matters.

I do feel ahead they will question his compatibility with imlie and his feelings for her too. The challenges have not ended as yet they have only begun.

As for the ring it reminds me of lords of the rings. The line my precious pops up in my mind each time 🤣🤣 sorry but all it showed me was that Maline retuned the one item that holds no value for imlie. For she values sindoor and Aditya has given her that right and acceptance the day she passed. That have never been about symbol so why would it matter know.

For the mangalsutra imlie has her own and I hope she keeps it. It’s shows she values her roots and didi can take a hick.

So true. I also want a conversation by Imlie on her thought process during her journey and what she actually thinks about BS. Would love to get an insight on how she actually feels about BS, coz she has actually never said she loves him. It was always that you are my husband, Sita Maiyya's ashirwaad, her suhaag. But what about how she actually feels for him. Is it just feeling secure and protected or more than that. Is it just comfort and compatibility or more than that. We git Adi's journey, I also want Imlie's.

Otherwise why would we be shown Imlie ki insecurities randomly but never be shown anyone addressing them dhang se? Not even Adi? I know everyone here is like Adi got more impressed by Imlie ke mahaan vichaar on wanting him to keep gehre rishte with Malini ki nishaani, but I would say both Adi and the audience are deluding themselves if they take what Imlie is saying at face value😆.

Since they never bothered addressing Imlie's insecurities in real time, she now sounds quite hollow when she gives gyaan on how she has no issues with AM ka rishta, she has her own space etc. etc.....cuz it's just very hard to buy her stances given that we've seen she doesn't really understand either her own relationship with Adi or AM ka rishta with each other.....otherwise she wouldn't keep jumping to feeling betrayed so easily. She does operate under the default assumption that Malini was Adi's choice so deep down it must have been made soch samajh ke and Imlie is the "forced" element in his life......whatever Adi says to clarify is not enough for Imlie but she never admits that....instead they go on these side tangents of being impressed by ring related mahaanta😕😆

I'm feeling disillusioned cuz I felt the connect with Adi-Imlie over the fact that they communicated, talked through everything.....that is what I thought set them apart from the failures of the AM relationship which lacked communication ability......sadly now, the writers seem determined to show an Imlie who doesn't want to communicate honestly with Adi, feed him the impression that she is fine with his past but later on he will likely feel hurt when he realizes again that Imlie has never really trusted him but goes along with saying it in the moment.

In the need to "respect" his past with Malini which supposedly was all about same soch, same habits....they've reduced Adi-Imlie to just a twist of fate😆.....Adi made a few mentions recently of how Imlie had changed him and brought about a happier Adi....but it will never fully register on Imlie I guess cuz Adi does still maintain he was happy with Malini for 7 years😆.....so they will keep looping back to that point ki Imlie is justified in thinking he does really love Malini only whenever he shows concern for her aage as a friend also😆.

This is why they don't really show Adi-Imlie ever talking about trust or Imlie ever clearly saying she trusts him.....cuz she doesn't. And I'm not sure she ever will. So dunno how they intend to build this relationship😆.....I guess pura time Didi se gehra rishta nibhaane mein chala jaayega toh yeh khud ke aapsi trust ke baare mein sochne ka waise bhi kaise time milega.....lol and worst case scenario bhi hai.....Didi the great will teach Imlie about "trust"😕🤣

Adi did get impressed by imlie's mahaan vichaar. But as I said in some post, Imlie kehti kuch hai, sochti kuch hai and karti kuch aur hi hai. Imlie's thoughts in general are mahaan. That's what she expressed today. When Aditya is showing that he loves her through his actions, mahaan vichaar come easy to her. She is fine with whatever tokens he wants to keep; She identifies tokens as just that - tokens.

But any slight clue that Adi might favour didi in his heart,she gets jealous and feels betrayed. And she is incapable of handling the intensity of her feelings. So her response seems to be flight.

I think the problem here is that Imlie can never share her weaknesses. She is used to handling these feeling alone. Its always Aditya who identifies them and supports her.

Adi for now does not seem to have any idea of whats brewing inside imlie. He is in his happy world that as soon as KC shows up he can start his happily ever after. So he is in for a rude awakening 😆

Re- contrived communication gap: Adi and Imlie's relationship was too perfect. If the keep maintaining that perfection story mein conflict khatam hojayega i guess😆. So they have buried both the characters in a mountain of guilt and just as they are showing signs of over coming it and communicating with each other, didi's boyfriend issues are going to be revealed and they will become six feet under where they already stood😆

Now I am even worried about how the truth of Adi-Imlie marriage will get disclosed. The writers do everything to prop up Didi so somehow I am worried about that reveal also to prop up Didi somehow. Adi-Imlie toh have become plot devices to the writers.

I cannot with how Adi changed his stance on taking the ring from Didi in today's epi while in yesterday's epi his reaction to the ring was in line with his characterisation. I would have preferred that he got angry at Didi for her stupid thoughtless action of giving her engagement ring to Imlie. But what we got was him now keeping the ring as a keepsake. What changed between yesterday & today except writers need to prop up Didi & sowing seeds for further insecurities in Imlie. Or did he accept the ring because he thought Imlie was showing maturity about the importance of ring so he also gave importance to it after being convinced by her.

Imlie ka clarity issue we have been discussing since the sindoor tamasha epis & we are still nowhere close to understanding her. One day she behaves as if she has accepted the inevitability of Adi-Malini divorce, next day she is shown convincing the family that Didi is lying about having bf. I am seriously fed up. If the next week doesn't give any clarity then I think I will have to give up on Adi-Imlie as a couple. I am not interested in torturing myself by seeing the potential of such a beautiful love story going down the drain.

@bold: Yes, that is why he accepted the ring back. He’s being shown getting convinced by Imlie’s stances on various things basically 😆….Imlie called Malini family so he also jumped in to chime in agreement with Imlie 😆….I guess he wanted to show he was being supportive to Imlie 🤷‍♀️😂….but it kinda came across as khichdi cuz they stuffed in lots of Didi propping up and as usual no real aapas ke rishte ka discussion for Adilie 🤷‍♀️
