It was an entertaining episode no doubt, but makers were pandering to the audience demands of romance. My major gripe was the writing. The entire scenario of imlie falling sick was stretched out and poorly written. Makers are insisting on making our intelligent imlie a mahaan FL incapable of using brain cells.
I was actually laughing through the episode.
Aparna comes in with a stern mask on her face and ghungroo in her hands and informs imlie that she is lending her ghungroo to imlie just for the day. Yesterday I called imlie a modern Eklavya. Who is using the videos of Aparna's dancing to learn dancing. Today Aparna played the drona. She wanted her guru dakshina. She wanted imlie to rak laaj of her kala and parivaar. If parivaar ki izzat and kala ka laaj was so important, why didnt she teach imlie to dance herself? She totally left imlie to her own devices and now is like okay so if you perform badly, no one in my family can ever walk with their head held high. We will never be happy.And YOU will be the root cause of all our misery.So do your thing. No pressure!
Imlie feels the full weight of the pressure. She is like shya! I dont have Saraswati mata's idol handy for this occasion; So SM convey my prayer to her lol. Aditya meanwhile lurks in background listening to her prayer waiting to catch her when she faints.
BK is a sweet heart. He lavishly praises imlie on stage. And in background, crew is smiling at the amazing dialogues writers have written lol. Meanwhile Sundar informs Aditya of imlie's act of selflessness/stupidity. Here on stage, BK invites aaj ki star performer imlie to the thunderous round of claps from the crew. BK ne imlie ki praise kar kar ke crew ke expectations sky high kardiya lol. At home, Aditya is like why cant you be practical like a normal person. And here on stage BK is awkwardly looking around for imlie. He is like our imlie needs time to get ready. Cue family's smiles start to fade slowly. Crew starts yelling that actors are always late. Not done lol.
In this moment of crisis, Pankaj does the most sensible thing to do. Goes on stage and asks BK himself where is imlie lol. Both of them are like okay we both dont know where imlie is and continue standing awkwardly on stage. Meanwhile the mean girls are regretful that they gave such an important responsibility to imlie. Khud toh they did not lift a single finger to do something useful. But they are ready to pounce on imlie for any perceived failure. We also get a scene of someone in audience furiously clicking away pictures of BK and CK being awkward on stage lol.
Somewhere closeby to stage, Imlie informs aditya she is going to perform. She already fell from the family's good graces. She is now not ready to be the root cause of all their misery. Aditya is like shut up! Go home and rest; I will inform everyone that your performance is cancelled. Here on stage BK, CK and Nishant all decide its time to use their brains and search for imlie. But Suddenly imlie ke andar Milka singh ki aatma jaag jati hai lol and She beats aditya to stage and starts performing. Aditya stands in the background, mesmerised and lost in his fantasies, all thoughts about her fever forgotten temporarily. Crews' claps brings him back to reality and cue imlie faints on stage.
All T-fam except the mean girls run to stage. Background mein audience yells the show is ruined, their mood is ruined etc., completely unconcerned that a girl fainted right infront of their eyes. Meangirls think that Imlie fainted because she did not practice well. They have an out of the world thought process.
Aditya has a hero moment and proves that he is a patrakar in and out. He gives an emotional speech with tears in his eyes about how they are concerned about their event and izzat more than Imlie; But she cares more about everyone more than herself; so she worked herself sick for them. All the while imlie looks like a sick bechari on stage with sad music in background. But he does not expect audience to believe his words without proof. So he flashes his phone to the audience and plays video of imlie's struggles with leakage. Crew in audience is like yeh hum ko sight deke hi chodega lol. Lets not ask logical questions like why was there a camera in the godown, how did Aditya get the video on his phone, was this a live stream video, if yes, why did he not help imlie yesterday etc.; Writers ko bhi nai pata. Zyada questions mat pucho tum lol.
Abhi writers want us to believe that Aditya and imlie's soul connect is so strong that aditya ko pata hai imlie ko 102 ka bhukaar hai even without checking. Again dont ask any questions.
Aditya ki speech sunke everyone is remorseful and Aditya ki mata ke andar insaniyat jaag jati hai. She sees imlie in pain on stage and insaniyat ke saath saath mamtha bhi jaag jati hai. She goes to the stage where imlie is sitting with hai mein bechari, kismat ki maari look.And mataji ko dekh ke she is scared. Monday ko saas-bahu bonding.
