Imaliya ka dance performance

Looks like we're stepping into the gimmicky zone today😆.....yeh "Surprise" toh aaj kaafi ajeeb directions mein gaya😆

I thought we would get a nice long solo performance from Imlie.....lol but her solo part got over in like 30 seconds and then got split into a two part dream sequence😆. Really didn't care much for the first part on the stage which felt overly filmy and not Adi-Imlie like. Second part in the garden area worked better cuz it had more of their regular banter.....her hiding something behind her back, him trying to see what it was, then her tickling him😆, him getting miffed and then finally her jumping on his back like the little monkey that she is😆.....the piggyback ride visual was cute :)

As a stand alone sequence, the second part of the dream sequence I can live with.....but the overall lack of build up was very jarring....lol the Adi who was otherwise running over all worried that Imlie had fainted, saw her do two dance steps and went into SUCH a trance that he imagined AISA dream sequence?😆 This - the guy who barely imagined anything after confessing his love to her, after this most recent buried alive hugs/kisses wala interlude also.....lol usko aaj is level tak le gaye makers in the need for a token gimmick?😆

Personally feel that time would have been better spent showing Adi-Imlie actually interacting and growing their bond in the REAL world....but chalo jinke liye yeh lollipop ghusaya, hope those people are satisfied.

Anyways, the rest of the epi was built around the hoopla of whether or not Imlie will sambhaalo family ki izzat through this performance😆.....as expected, drama build up kiya over whether she will get to perform or not, Aparna showing saas wala skepticism....lol then again the usual rounds of "Imlie let us down" when Imlie fainted on stage😆.....to finally the guilt trip when Adi produced CCTV footage😕🤣 to prove how Imlie was going above and beyond for those who don't even seem to consider her apna😆.....Finally Aparna ki conscience seems to have jaagoed and she's making her way over to Imlie by the end of the epi.

Monday feels like it will be better and more in-line Adi-Imlie wise given that long look they shared in the recent spoiler clip :)

As I was saying I am not exactly giddy caz I have been on the fence .. this sure is to pander a certain section and got into gimmicky zone and just did not felt like adi imlie am familiar with esp in that stage portion of the imagination.. that had no lead on.. other then we have this checklist to cover today so start ho jao.. IMO it ruined her soo act and the glory that she should have enjoyed for her fab skills got diluted caz we had to fit a dream with full lipsync that is not their characters or goes along with anything they are thinking right now.

The 2nd part felt more in their zone and had the better parts and the ones I liked like the tickles the piggyback even though that too felt like GM ST to me more than adi imlie but still her hiding her hands behind to tease him the tickles to get one up him is more imlie it had more the vibe of the sketch chupana scene with his curiosity ke kya hai then turning away and her jumping on his back to Manao him .. that had the familiarity it was In their zone. And what they would do if they were free from all the burdens probably. Woh playful vibe they got was what worked and then yes they were extra cute ... so i can get that as adi ka mind diverting for a bit in between seeing her dancing

The first part honestly was to ruin her solo act and just was off. ..so I was reserving my thoughts on it but glad am not alone. .. and again am not sure I can watch these checklistss wale adi imlie aage jaake which seems to be the new normal given more lists are now being accepted by the director sahib I see more tabahi coming

Adi imlie of future ..

Adi ki chinta pe focus karte toh aur acha hota I did like the little bit in the mid where he is like so worried and is in his zone ke bas aur kuch nahi sunuuga you are most important. But mostly the it felt like a filler to me..

End main adi was back in the zone we know him to be in rofl.. but bhashan ki jagah bhai thoda tend kar leta behosh ladki ko.. I see aparna coming and giving a thank you wala speech haha and the woh family ka thank you that looks far more soulful than whatever they meant to show today in happy zone.. that is more adi imlie

This is damage control a tactic to give lollypop today to curb the backlash that they got for the first 2 episodes of the week and a quick thing to calm the angry mobs.. sorry it doesn't work for me

I actually liked the first aoarna imlie scene the most again with how she gives her the ghungroo and tells he ke she is handing the Kala to imlie too and also the bit where she was appreciating imlie ka act from down. sweet bits thay ek dum woh full of connect and love wale would have liked more buildup on them

Thanks for the review AY, was waiting for it since when. I have not yet seen the episode, but seems like tomorrow we may get your prediction of a dance between Imli and Sasuma. Would be really nice if that happened, and then they move to that group huddle. Would be a perfect end to a set of episodes without Loservedis...😊

If not, I agree that they continue to develop the story better than just pandering to Twitter's request. I think we need to also put our concerns out there on Twitter as well, as it seems they are building the further story from there only. Also I am surprised that GM did not push back at the lipsync piece for the dance, as he is shown to be quite involved in th scenes when he shoots. Also since he choreographed the entire first part, shouldn't he have suggested to tone down the cheesiness? I mean he has been doing this character for more than 6 months, he should have been able to push back more. I also felt that the dance seemed really out of sync with the characters, I legit fast forwarded it coz it was weird to see them like that.

For my own sanity, I am assuming first half of the dream sequence is Imlie’s imagination and the second half is Adi’s Imagination, a wishful thinking of him that Imlie gets that free and open with him. This assumption sat well with him and I am sticking to it 😂

But, for the sake of drama they made Aparna hit a rock bottom (for the last few episodes, I lost the respect J had for Radha, so not going to talk about her). Aparna loves Imlie a lot. When Imlie fainted they might have shown her at least slightly worried about Imlie instead they showed her completely inconsiderate. Even if she says sorry to Imlie tomorrow, it is not going to redden her, at least in my eyes. Imlie tho hai hi mahaan par hum nahi hai 🤷🏽‍♀️

I love Imlie Sundar bond.. everyone needs a best friend like Sundar in life.

Thanks for the thread AY. I also felt the dance was abrupt but Sumbul and Gashmeer did a great job nevertheless. I loved the second part - more like the Adi Imlie we know with the playfulness😆

I thought it was a nice easy fun episode for the weekend with hopefully the whole family coming together for a dance on Monday. But after that it’s just going to be more drama because you know who will be back 😆

So I guess we can relax with these light episodes over the weekend 😆

Also the audience must have great eyesight watching the video in Adi’s phone unless Adi just wanted to show the video to Apu 😆

LOL Imlie was busy dancing.....saara imagination Adi ka tha😛.....and first part was damn weird....I'm gonna delete that permanently from my memory for my sanity😆. Looked like GM putting together some audition tape rather than watching Adi-Imlie onscreen😆

The second part in the garden redeemed things a bit....I'm not against dream sequences but please atleast stick to the base characterization. Jo aadmi seedhe muh baat bhi mushkil se karta hai, woh itna filmy nahin banega even in his dreams ki lipsync maarne baith jaaye....it all looked like GM more than Adi. And I want to watch Adi onscreen, not GM.

Re: Aparna's trust in Imlie....lol this is just a temporary interlude....she will again lose it once the divorce news is out.....they are just trying to show her as confused for now.....I'm fine with iska jitna bhi hai cuz her underlying love/concern for Imlie still shows even as she tries to act mean with her.

I'm finding it suspicious that the makers actually care to let us relax with light episodes for once😆.....and light stuff they can show with in-character sequences also.

GM-ST were wayyyyyy better together in the PD dance sequence which was more natural....this one just felt very gimmicky and rushed. I honestly felt they could have done without the lipsync....that just didn't feel like Adi.
