I also feel it came to conclude the conversation as the very first accusation she had at the beginning of this scene itself was 7 saal jhela hai isne and never gave adi time to.say anything so he slipped that one at the end ke koi doubt Matt rakhna dil main. If she gave 7 saal toh adi koi side main kanche nahi khel raha tha he accepted and compromised on a lot too throughout infact wohi tha jo adjustment kiye gaya toh 7 saal nikle and we have enough proof of that kitna isne aur iski family ne Saha hai sirf iss liye ke malini ko.bura na lage and to be fair itna koi nahi jhelta esp if it is a guy to keep a relationship.going in courtship period. Shaadi ke baad shayad patience thodi badh jaaye but generally tab bhi zyada compromises ladki hi karti hai on many fronts so this is a rare relationship in that sense on TV ke yahan sab ladka kar raha tha but it is never been acknowledged simply caz woh aadmi hai..it is very real in that sense too ke in real bhi agar itni demanding ladkiyan Hon and hoti hai and unke liye agar aadmi kuch karein toh they are instantly called joru ke ghulaam.. you know wohi basic stereotypes and perceptions..

Toh they have tackled this very differently too he has made adjustments over and over but with more of a khadoos outlook hence he didn't got the tag but it also made malini write off his contribution simply caz he didn't go joru ka ghulaam level for her and society so she made it ke yeh isne hi kia adjustment hence it was very necessary he slipped that one on to conclude.

Ek toh yeh, "Humne bhi saat saal diye" line....on the surface it might seem like he was saying ki "I gave you seven years too, now please spare me"😆.....but as you said, it was more about him pushing back against her constant jataana of how she tolerated him for 7 years, how much she invested herself in this relationship.....she always keeps making it sound like she was the only one who was carrying it for 7 years.....so that is why Adi pushed back, even if it was in a weary tone...to say that he also gave 7 years to this relationship.....it's like he has to remind her that he was there too since she insists on spinning it all into only being about herself.

The other interesting bit was him saying, "Yeh sahi hahin hai..." and then quickly amending it to, "Yeh sahi waqt nahin hai"😆....as he tried to extract himself from her clinging....lol you could feel the extreme discomfort in him that was pushing him to start saying pretty explicitly what he was feeling in his mind....that this is all wrong now....her touching him feels wrong and he pretty much said it, even if he tried to cover it up with "waqt sahi nahin hai".....any normal person would have comprehended....but this is Didi😆

It is amazing to see how much Malini considers the world OWES HER. She reeks of privilege every time she comes onscreen these days. I absolutely feel bad that she does not know the truth but these faults of her are overriding even that. It was evident during the argument that she has decided that she is the only one who has given up on anything in the 7 years. This illusion she is under is never going to break. Not the marriage breaking apart or Aditya loving someone else or the fact that she has a half sister is going to alter the truth that she will feel she is the only victim. If they ever intend to redeem her I hope it is a well thought out logical arc as opposed to an overnight switch.

Oh that sahi nahin hai dialogue was so brutal. How does a sane woman not recognize that. Especially one who says she wants to save her marriage. That opening scene portrayed all kinds of desperation - Malini’s desperation to hold on to whatever aspect she thinks is going to resolve the issue and Aditya’s to run out of the room. How long can he be this way? Malini ne aaj question pooch toh liya but how long does she overlook ki he jumps at her touch?

And the other problem with Aditya’s bukhaar is - where does he stop. Aaj Imlie will say whatever and get him to be ok. But that is never going to be enough for him. He will need more, he needs everything that Imlie is. What a total mess.

Thing is, Adi-Malini just can't be viewed from that oversimplified perspective of yeh dekho kitni sweet ladki, she's nice and polite to everyone, waited 7 years for her boyfriend to marry her.....toh obviously usne hi kiye honge saare adjustments....while boyfriend ko dekho - he's so khadoos, baat bhi kam karta hai, time bhi kam deta hai, itna wait karvaya shaadi ke liye😆....toh he toh should count himself lucky ki that a girl waited for him for so long....lol but this is not the full picture at all.

If Malini is nice/sweet on the surface, she also has a family - especially a mother who has constantly berated the man she's dated, berated his family too. So when the so called khadoos man still continues with a relationship after being put down for so long by someone's family, what does that make him? A passive participant who was given the "ehsaan" of a nice/sweet girl who waited for him 7 years? Or does it also show that he played his part in sustaining this relationship too by not letting the influence of her mother let things sour between them? Yes, Malini was a nice/sweet girl....but did that nice/sweet girl ever really HEAR him when he talked to her? And did he not rush to pacify her at every point whenever she showed her insecurity to him and called him a 100 times a day? Did he not show immense patience through all of that to continue to sustain a relationship that he felt he was committed to?

Women by nature are more giving, more compassionate in general....so it is easy to fall into the perception everytime that only a woman's adjustments sustain a relationship....but that is not always the case....as we are seeing in Adi-Malini's case, it took both of them to sustain this hollow relationship for 7 years together...one alone couldn't have done it. So yes, isiliye Adi has the right to state that he too gave this 7 years.....it is Malini's fantasy if she thinks she sustained it singlehandedly for 7 years.

But yes, he will still need to give Imlie some time cuz this is all very new and overwhelming for her too.....faith was easy cuz she has lived with it all her life....but the volatility of these feelings and her fear of hurting anyone she cares about like Malini....these are two complicated things holding her back so she's trying to block it all out of self-preservation....focusing on college whatever little she can....but ab life toh complicated ho hi gayi hai, Imliya....kya karein.

No it is not just you.. I just can't get past her obliviousness and then extracting the blame from herself and ghunaooing it to stress is work related kuch hua kya..? She legit said that and I am like SERIOUSLY? Seriously woman..

Word on bold2 .. I think you guys nailed it here. A relationship needs two people and it cannot be sustained singlehandedly so if Malini was the instigator for most of their outings, Aditya also gave it equal importance by reciprocating or making up for it so he has full right to state it. 😊

@bold1: This perception of Aditya not being the indulgent type and Malini being the calming force is going to play a big role in the family reaction to Aditya future stand or also his argument, if they ever go that route, that they are not compatible and few hours a week is not enough to find that out.. The "7 saal" is going to be thrown around a lot and mostly by Malini to be used against Aditya. I think that the cruz of the matter that he needs to address that its incompatibility between them and not that he is fallen in love with Imlie because then the next question that is going to be asked is what if you fall for someone else in future. The only thing that is going to play in favor of Aditya may be would be that its no secret to anybody in the family that they are having lot of problems between them but they also need to start stressing on the compatibility or lack of understanding for the family members. They had started doing that but now they are again showing Adi as the khadoos person. 😒

Even if a stranger in in pain, you ask ki "are you allright?" phir yeh toh iska 7 saal ka pyaar hain for which she was all ready to fight yesterday. Like you, I do not understand her or this behavior. She showed so much of concern to Imlie and went to get a balm but did not bother to force him to eat dawaii or just get cold water stripes to reduce the fever. Kuch nahi to stay at home...Are these the AC shades in her that they are showing of caring but still not being bothered?

Now he will not let Imlie go away from him chahe khud kyun na barbaad ho jaaye...But I did like that hint of vulnerability in him where he wanted to share the problem with Nishant and get hum-umar take on the situation. There is editor but still talking to a mentor and talking to a friend is two different things. He needs someone to point out or talk about the problems in Malini's relationship. He does tell Imlie but Imlie has this glasses of her own belief and Malini and she is very involved so her opinion is very biased. There needs to be third party unbiased person who can just be a listening ear for Aditya. warna bukaar will become a common theme due to all the emotional overdose😉...

On a separate note, I really like how you wrote about the bukaar journey of Aditya, It was so to the point and correct. 😊

Baat wohi hai she is detached but she likes to claim she is attached.. it only has to revolve around her too much self absorption yeh beemar ho toh adi phone bhi na le and she can't be bothered to even ask as a courtesy too ke are you alright offer paani bhi.. I mean that is just the first instinctive reaction to see any living being in pain ke offer water. Insaan jaanwar ko bhi dekhta hainma in pain to they try to find out hua kya and let's get some water first. Exactly, in the same episode they show her fighting and begging for his attention and at the end they show her not bothered when he needs attention. Aisa bhi nahi that she iwas showing OTT anger or hurt about their, she just looked so unbothered like everything is forgiven and forgotten. What are we supposed to think then about her behavior? Till now at least we thought ki isse Adi se pyaar hain but today I am even questioning that ki pyaar ke bas ek obsession hain and a means for her to feel secured and good about herself by putting him down or listen to her own tareef by making him feel guilty or ehsaanmand.

Late to the episode, late to the reading spree! Great analysis AY. As always so much fun to read everyone's analysis. Ekdum different and interesting perspectives.

The episode was great in terms of the agony, anxiety the three of them are facing. Malini ofcourse flipped within a few seconds, almost displaying paranoid or even certain bipolar behavior- "I Love you, Adittyaaa". One moment she be demanding an explanation the other moment she is like chuck it- I love you, so let's just keep it like that. Aditya's dialogue in all that tortuous moment was " 7 saal diye"! It said and conveyed so much if only Malini could comprehend that.

The entire episode looked like a sloppy editing. And maybe it was done in bits and pieces given the current situation. Adi and Imlie's scene did not look like it was shot together..were they in one frame..? will have to go check it out again, not that it matters...:)..cause I kinda loved how he was making a point, trying to convince her that most of ships have sailed... and ab kya, kise aur kyun rokna?!

Imlie is so confused and surely she would be. She is playing a tug of war between mind and heart.

I am really interested to see how they steer this from here. Given the current situation and the state of their story which is so tense at this point- where and how will the continue. The vicious circle of pain needs to be broken...

Another interesting thing in the episode was ofcourse Nishant sensing their so called awkwardness, I also think Adi's mom is noticing things.....Maybe it is time some more people be pulled into this toofan..to slow it down, to break the brewing storm.
