I think he comes back thinking this is as far as Aditya/ Imlie can go and that he needs to pick up the pieces that he has left back in Delhi and move ahead. Little does he still understand that destiny has not played its part in entirety or the depth of his dependency on Imlie. Will he want to tell the truth to Malini or wallow in self pity? That I’m not too sure of because this is Aditya and he is extremely selfish. I want to see how they make him react to Malini leaving the house. That might give us a clue. And if he told Malini the truth, how does Imlie even come back to the house. So yes, like you said they will kick that can down the road too.
All building up to the only thing possible - that of their relationship getting labeled illicit. I feel sad for Malini. She is a victim. Aditya and Imlie both turned her into one so that’s their cross to bear. She however has no business questioning what feelings he may or may not have for Imlie now because she herself refused to challenge her husband’s blatant actions in the beginning itself. She went to the hospital the first time. And overlooking his behavior during the bridge incident or during the bedaag trust part of it when he volunteered to clear her doubts. But logic is not her strong point these days so we will get an Aditya trying to placate her, she herself trying to rectify whatever it is that she thinks is broken and smothering him in the process. T family will bear the brunt of their broken relationship the most sadly.
Yeah I think that's where it's going too.....they will both agree that this is as far as they can go for now and now they must part and try to live out their lives in different directions. Until fate throws them together in Delhi somehow again.
Then they can sit and muse together about the strange ways of KISMAT bringing them together even as they try to protect Malini from the truth and try to sacrifice for her sake😆.
Re: Malini....but that's the thing....she's getting a free pass over a lot because the truth is being hidden from her. Adi's sin is the obviously bigger one cuz he committed the bigamy but all of this is glossing over Malini's contribution to the current mess too from even before Imlie came into Adi's life.....and then afterwards, her not having the guts to talk directly to Adi after each incident that showed what Imlie meant to him. So she will keep getting that free pass cuz at the end of the day, they have shown her as the legal wife in Delhi....and coming back to Delhi always puts Imlie at a disadvantage of not getting recognition as Adi's valid wife......without that recognition, people will always jump to the conclusion of some kind of illicit angle between them.
T family ka toh bura time shuru hone wala hai....they better brace themselves for daily tamaashe....lol
Amazing review, AY 👍🏼...The episode indeed had too many pieces each interconnected with each other but so beautifully done. It was a blasting end to these three PD days of roller coaster ride. When I first read about the hug, I was hoping that they have not compromised his character but they did it so flawlessly by making the "Truth and Honesty", two pillars of Aditya's character, the central piece for this whole confrontation.👏
Aditya came to PD looking for answers, he used a lot of big words, went from one spectrum to other with zimmedari to zarrorat but nothing was fitting this storm of emotions that was brewing within him. I know we troll him a lot for his "sachai" but, in reality, that is the base of his character. He prefers to keep his mouth shut rather than lie and that’s what he is been doing this past three days. Any difficult question asked by Imlie or by himself, he has clamped up because he had no answer to give or he himself did not know the answer to that question. It happened the same way today, Imlie at every stop during that "walk to remember" asked him a question and with every stop, he left behind his pride, his self respect, his anger and kept following her because she has become string that pulls him. The sindoor and mangalsutra that he had once mocked once become as binding for him as they are for her. Through them she belongs to him and now he belongs to her. In the end, he was left only with the his truth.
Their relationship has been honest to the point of being painful. There have never been any false promises or hopes attached to it. The expectations for each other has always been crystal clear. This was the only thing that they both had equally contributed to it so today when Imlie said ki "kya farak padta hain", he had to answer that question because it does matter to him and that is the reality that he has now accepted. The truth has changed, and Aditya could not stop himself from correcting it. He has been forced to lie to each and every relationship because of this one relationship, so how can he let his one true relationship be muddled with untruths. He opened up and when he did, there was no jijak, no hesitation, no fear of being questioned of why, when and how. There was a sense of freedom to his words because he knew that no one else but she would understand not because she is his partner in crime but because she knows him at the level that no body else does, not even he himself. And finally he had the answer to his question that he had come searching for to PD and it is that all he wants, all he has ever wanted was for her to be happy. That has been the reason for his coming, staying and now going if that what she wants and if that is what will make her happy.
They have always been an open book for each other, his words have always been the ultimate truth for her and today when he asked her for a promise to remember that she is important to him, that she is not an outsider, that she is his apna and she has place in his heart, there was no jijak in her acceptance because she knows for all his anger, daant and screaming, BBSB will never lie to her. If he says it’s the truth then it is the truth and she will accept without any questions. The beauty of this whole thing was there were no commitments, no promises, no demands because there cannot be at this point but it was honesty in its best form, honesty given and honesty received.
The walk to remember that started because of equality between man and women, had four more issues added to it which were "the importance of sindoor and magalsutra", "sachai will not be enough", "maafi and hurt is only asked from the one closer to the heart", and last "till when will he stay with her". Today, by giving her the right or by telling her that he will follow her in every decision, he made her an equal partner in their relationship, by protecting the "mangalsutra " from the goons, he showed her that they were as much of a value to him as they are for her, he gave her his "sachai" in the rawest form possible with nothing hidden, he made her his "apna" by telling her that she will always have a place in his heart and finally he gave the right to decide the future of this relationship i.e. whether it will end tomorrow or never, she will be the one who decides. Either ways he would accept it because now her happiness is the most important thing for him.
Lastly, Imlie who since the bike convo has rejected all his overtures to make peace finally succumbed. How could she not when he opened his heart to her, gave her equal right in their relationship and made her his "apna" There were so many emotions, so many things, so many words between them that it could only be expressed through a physical connection, a simple sweet hug but it had so many emotions attached to it. It had the "haq" that was finally given, the "maafi" that was pending, the "support" that was needed, the promise of companionship , the "sukoon" of finally finding the right place and the pain and heartbreak from the knowledge that this is the beginning and the end. The moment itself was so poignant but still so tranquil that it gave the chills, brought tears and smile all at the same time. Take a bow, Team Imlie. This can only be achieved through team work.👏

All of these things are conveniently on hold so that Adi can enjoy his time in PD😆. It's like every Delhi character has been frozen until he comes back to face the music.....which is why surprisingly, they only showed us one Malini-AC scene talking about Adi rather than drawn out ones of Malini's meltdown they were showing in the previous week😆
That's another convo I'm waiting to see....what gyaan Editor saab will give to Adi when Adi returns and Editor Saab is like, beta ab bataao tumhaari biwi kaun hai aakhir😆

Thanks, Pam! Aaj toh aapne bahut late kar diya....I was wondering if you didn't like the epi ki you didn't drop in for quick takes also😆.....hug ke baare mein padh ke darr gayi kya tum? Haha that way I'm glad I didn't read any reviews before directly watching.
@bold: Beautifully put.....I love how you tied it all together so nicely :)
The epi will probably be need to be watched many times over to grasp every nuance they packed all into one epi.....lol the days we wish they spread things out, they don't....and other times they kill the good scenes also by stuffing in Delhi waalon ka melodrama to drag.....haha
Oh I have to point out the "Kono sach kaafi nahin hoga" line that you also mentioned here.....it was the beginning scene when he says, "What if I tell you the truth?"....and she responds, "No truth will be enough"......and that kind of tied into the last scene so beautifully too.....he gave her the truth as he knew it by then....but they both accepted that that truth will also not be enough to resolve the situation they are in.

LOL@ BOLD 😂
In a way I am glad they did not dilute the scenes because these last few episodes were so necessary in terms of the screenplay. I am not the one to speculate and never an ITV show. But if Adi has no indication that the fam jam knows that he is not in Jamshedpur- bichara ka kya band bajega...! I might be biased here..but hope Adi gets that heads up!
I agree it's not fair to Malini.....ideally Adi should come clean to her and then face the consequences.
As for finding happiness.....I think both Adi and Imlie have given up on that expectation in their life right now😆. That is why I was saying there was a heartbreaking tragic beauty to the hug in the last scene....they hugged each other like they knew their happiness lies with each other but they won't be able to reach out for it.
I'm waiting to see what Adi thinks is the current status of his marriage with Malini if he has accepted he is Imlie's husband😆.....is he going to say that the marriage is still illegal but he's accepted it's sanctity per rituals? Is that the loophole he's going to go for? lol I also doubt he will be able to fulfill the role of a loving husband to Malini after a realization like this but then we all know Babusahib isn't known to back down from attempting to fight the inevitable....so let's see how he tries....and fails.
Re: Imlie's benevolent characteristics....lol everyone has their own tragic flaw in the story.....Imlie's sacrificial nature has its tendency to backfire just like Adi's out of control impulses...so everything has to play out per each person's characteristics and how they try to manage the situation.
Yes!Every one’s characteristics adds to the story and that’s the beauty of it.God ,how I wish the sarpanch makes a random appearance and give them their marriage certificate to Adi 😂now that would add some much needed validation cause it’s something he can show when everyone finds out about their marriage.
Out of topic, what are they going to do with Nishanth’s leukemia wala story? He got leukemia for nothing ?😂😂
This whole scene was a Welcome and Goodbye all tied together and it reminded me of the words from one of my favorite song:
Hum ko mili hai aaj ye
Ghadiyaan nasib mein
Ji bhar ke dekh lijiye
Hum ko qarib se
Phir aap ke nasib mein
Yeh baat ho na ho
Phir is janam mein
Mulaaqat ho no ho
Lag ja gale ki phir ye
Haseen raat ho na ho
Lag ja gale…
Paas aaiye ki hum
Nahin aayenge baar baar
Baahein gale mein daal ke
Hum ro le zaar zaar
Aankhon se phir yeh
Pyar ki barsat ho no ho
Shaayad phir is janam mein
Mulaqaat ho no ho
Guys Iam sorry to bring this up. Too much bashing going on in Twitter from fans of another Bengali serial remake on star plus. They are comparing ML and FL. I hope they don’t cause issues and writer don’t change story for them. Serial is going good but afraid. Don’t know how so many people became active and attacking serial suddenly. They are few Adilie fans fighting a solo battle against them in Twitter.

Reading about the hug did scare me but then I saw episode and it was so beautiful that I just wanted to sleep on it 😛 and then life intervened ...Sorry😊
@bold1: So true, that they had packed so many things together that it really took a number of rewatches, to see the connection. Hence, the reason for lateness. There were questions and answers and like how Imlie answered all of his the day before, he did the same in this one.
@bold 2: Yes, they tied it all with the end scene. The other thing that was very prominent was that when he wanted to tell the truth to Malini, he was so scared and there was so much of hesitation but over here there was none of it because like we discussed last time, he knew there would be no judgement. He was also clear on the fact that he had this other relationship and his hands are tied but he also does not want to lie to her. Then flip between "pyaar" and "zimmedari". Did they both even realize who is the pyaar and who is the zimmedari? He said that he has given her a place in his heart but the question about what is Malini place in his heart is still pending. That has not been addressed yet and he needs to be back in Delhi to do it.
Regarding Delhi scenes, I just FF them because they were seriously meaningless today . The only thing, I got from there was that Malini is totally going to flip from being this sad lady to a happy go lucky girl by the time Aditya reaches home 😆
