Thank you😊 - wasn't really in a position or the mood to make posts 🥱 but these rumors are making me sick 🤢 So, thought of venting it out positively 😆

I think the PH made two mistakes.

1. Between Jan 1st and Jan 20th, the story, direction and execution were handled very badly. Zaki love angle, extreme negativity of Sahir, dragging of the deal, coal walking nikah... they blundered every single episode.

2. In their haste to regroup, they jumped into genre change. Stories like this one will take time before they garner interest and pick up. They should have shifted the focus back on the main leads and stayed on it for at least the first 100 episodes. Instead, we got to see eerie things happening without any warning. One episode SaAz were fighting and in the next maid died, Zeenat is in coma but back home...I mean come on... it was all over the place.

Club both these issues the TRPs fell further and the channel got ready to axe it.

You are totally right in this. That is exactly my point. It needs time and the right treatment. In trying to chase the trps, they have done more harm than good Instead of axing it, the channel should try to see and accept the real problems here and start promoting the show irrespective of the trp for at least six months and not pressurize the PH to introduce unnecessary twists and turns, making things worse

This story is unique. That USP should be maintained and it should not be slotted right along with other saas bahu saagas or even the CIDs and Adaalats of Sony.

So right! When you have something exclusive, you should handle it exclusively, not put it in the same bracket as your other shows! Give it time and effort, and it will grow a lot - hope they understand and do something good now at least 🥱

I really hope the channel gives HS a late night time slot and promotes it. THis show has some kind of magic about it... will be a terrible waste if they don't capitalize on it.
Thanks for a very positive note.
I hope Humsafars will get over this dark phase and have a long run.

Thanks so much 😊 Yes, a late night slot would do much better - I am ready to sacrifice one day a week for the show to run longer It is really magical and it would be a total waste if they axe it now when the going is getting better 🥱 Let's hope we get a news of extension soon to put an end to all these rumors 😃

Great post. I agree with you completely. It's sad that online viewers and international viewers are not counted in the trp's. We have to suffer because of the low trp's

If only Sony took the time to see the other numbers. They should have also changed the time slot for Humsafars.

Thank you 😊 I wish all channels start taking the online and international audience into consideration in some way. After all, everything is global now, how long will tv remain localized? And a time slot change will surely help - hope they listen...

And the buildup of the characters and maintaining consistency is of paramount importance.

HS has a very very good characterisation especially for it's ML. And Harshad Chopda has breathed life into the character so well.

From the beginning I don't think the low TRP was due to the fact that the hero was already married...the audience wants a valid reason and a well told plot and they will give it a chance. The show u mention was one that I watched too on and off till the hero was replaced. But that came from another stable and was totally well handled..which is why it was popular!

In HS too when the scenes make sense and are well handled we see only praise. So that's the key alright! The show has a lot going for it...whatever is wrong can be corrected if there is a will to do so!

Word pri ..I think u jave summed it up so well
@TM very nice n sensible post ..HC makes sahir come alive on screen n we did have an idea abt the past from the spoilers ...
A show cannot bank upon only the ML or the fl or the Chemistry it's team work ..so when the epis ate good they get praises else not 😆

Fabulous post, I always say this when ppl write that the married bit went against the serial, no it never did, it was the inconsistency and then the change of Genre to garner quick TRPs that marred the serial's chances to connect with the audience. The audience have accepted pretty unusual stories with elan before but they need to emotionally connect with the lead actors.

I agree with Jun, it is not a serial meant for the 8.30 slot, it has dark tones meant for mature audience and shifting it to a later night slot may help it to do better. Before I knew about the TRP game I would simply record the show and watch it later because the timing just didn't suit my lifestyle and I am sure many others would have faced the same issue thus resulting in low TRPs.

The hard sell will not happen till they garner minimum .4 trp, but yeah I agree that if the channel gives the PH a breather, the show will win back its faithful audience and more. The cvs just need to tighten the script without the crappy voodoo bits and improve the editing. Also constant rumors about the show ending can be very disheartening to the actors and the team that work so hard to bring the show to us

There are lot of serials out there but Humsafars is truly unique and HC is simply superb. Very rarely do the character and actor marry so well that they merge into one. Its a story that needs telling and I, like most fans will be truly disappointed if Sahir's story is cut short midway.

Yes, to be sure, whether it succeeds or fails, it is the team's responsibility totally. If they want it to work, it will work even now and work very well. Taking it off air is definitely not the solution 🤢

Thank you so much 😊 Yeah, I too have always believed that there is absolutely no problem with the plot - it was actually what attracted the audience initially. Just that in the TRP race they lost track of the plot and that is what actually went against it. And really the TRP system should be changed now to accommodate a broader audience somehow. Good shows can't keep getting axed because a certain section of the viewers (who unfortunately dominate this type of statistics) do not watch them - that is so stupid really and this has happened so many other times too The time change would be welcome for HS as it was doing better earlier and with some space given to the PH to tell a proper story, it will surely pick up and they must put some effort into the storytelling and the consistency. However, I wouldn't expect it to suddenly become the most popular serial too in this kind of TRP system. It has connected with an exclusive audience and would fare much better if a good chance is given (with promos and good script) and the channel should respect that and its global reach and continue with it. They cannot really expect it to compete with the dominant saas-bahu clan overnight - that would be unrealistic and unfair to the show. Which of their other shows is really doing that and which of their other shows gets them so much popularity globally (even with the frequent promos and other tricks)? Humsafars is different and if any show deserves to stay, it is this one and I hope they understand it on time.

That is what the channel doesn't seem to be realizing unfortunately, it has a global audience that pays a fair amount of money to buy the chanel just to be able to watch Humsafars. Don't know why they don;t take those revenues into account because many of the girls who I talk to on twitter have told me that they will stop buying Sony if HS gets dropped, because thats the only reason they buy it.

N global frenzy for the show is unprecedented. Some of the girls I know can't even speak hindi but they still watch the show because they are big fans of Sahir and love the storyline too.Dollar revenues should account for something,

The show was supposed to be for niche audience and thats the way it should stay, messing around with it to suit the regular TRP audience will kill its soul completely and the serial will stand to lose its old faithfuls. I just hope the channel honchos see some sense and continue with the serial at least for the next 4 months so that the Ph guys can get the story well back on track. But unfortunately we can only wait and watch and hope for the best. Keeping my fingers crossed :)

That should account for something really! I seriously doubt their business sense - no wonder the channel is not doing well. HS is like a wake up call for them. If they do not recover and reform even now, they would only lose out in the long run. Their best and most favored shows only get around 2 at which point other channels sometimes even drop shows! Why won't they see that? As it is, I hear their sister channel is closing. What else do they expect with such strategies really?

This is what I too fail to understand - it was always supposed to be for niche audience. Since when did the TRPs become so important that they first mess with the show and now think of taking it off air 😕 Keeping my fingers crossed too!

Dont want to be negative here but with the upcoming spoilers of SAaz consummation coming up along with Saahir's past I think HUMSAFARS is coming to an end that's why the rush as I think these are 2 important tracks or main scene left to be unfolded for this story so I don't think PH will have anything to show after this so this makes me think that Sony indeed is taking this show off air 😭

Although if it continues longer then il be the happiest person but looks like the way story is moving in a rush I really doubt
