Hi S,

Why did you edit your post ? Open forum for discussion why mum ...Sush and I are keeping mum so we don't give out the plot and ruin the viewing for members . Look if all was well between the leads the show might as well shut down ...it's a soap woh bhi desi misunderstandings are one route to keep the drama quotient up and keep the story alive ...who would be interested in the side kicks ...the makers have to keep the audience glued ...mind you to keep the audience hooked is a task ...Misunderstanding is always a good bet to gain TRP's .

I understand misunderstandings are common on desi tv Di! I understand they keep the drama quotient up. I even understand that the leads cant have a perfect relationship it would mark the end of the show and further more it is not even realistic. I have seen many imperfect relationships. I am even use to seeing them on tv.

But the issue here is normally both REAL and REEL life the mistakes are balanced. Its not only one side making them and the other side ALWAYS forgiving just like that. My problem is that most of his mistakes before the misunderstanding are signs of an abusive male. The emotional blackmail, harming her physically through egg allergy, extreme jealousy, and controlling behavior the way he forced her into marriage. Lack of trust is also an early sign of abuse and he is about to show just that. What makes it worse Arzoo forgave him just like that due to the fact their was another woman in his life. Most woman would see that as reason to pack up their bags and leave. Here it made Arzoo forgive and forget???

If he makes another mistake after this its one too many mistakes from a single partners side. What is used to justify his mistakes? He had bad past. Well guess what CVs most abusers grow up with either bad childhood or past bad experiences it doesn't take away the fact that they are abusers. It doesnt take away the fact that in most situations in real life people would advise the woman to get out of a relationship like this.

Taking a bullet does not redeem him completely I feel. He would have done the same anyway even if he didnt need redeeming. And not to mention the fact that Arzoo was ready to do the same for him the next day takes away the impact.

S,

I have followed two desi shows ...both shows the women walked extra mile always forgave and forgot all bad done to her ...I was mentally prepared this show would be no different ...This is purely my perspective ...Indian audience ( desi soap watchers not all but majority ) love to watch women sacrificing specially if it is love story... why don't ask me have no answer . Arzoo is in worst situation than Nausheen ...

Taking a bullet is the start of redemption ...lots more to happen still ...this is just the beginning .

Without a doubt Arzoo is even in a worse situation than Nausheen. At least Sarfaraz left her alone and let her live in peace. He didnt force into sticking around so he can torture her more. Btw. thnx for letting me rant I needed it.

My gut feeling still tells me there is an underlying emotion waiting to explode in Saahir. I felt while seeing the Monday episode that he is an imposter!!!! 😉 I cant relate to this lovey dovey Saahir. 😃 His past is still a mystery so these are tracks to just extend the storyline. Script is very weak here unlike IKNMP where the story is a very simple track but it looks so real, you can relate to it. They even played the song, 'Khamoshiyaan'. Lovely.

Here, in 'Humsafars', even if u miss an episode, you can always catch later as the story is just not moving forward. Too many loose ends to be tied up. 😲 And the Creatives kick off a new angle w/out closing the earlier track. Lack of consistency and continuity. Perhaps that's what some daily soaps are all about...
