Indira glanced at her watch for the seventh time.
Why wasn't he here yet? She tapped on the table for a while before a waiter asked her to stop as it was disturbing others.
Stuff you. She thought.
She looked around to all the other young couples enjoying themselves and sharing some quality romantic time with each other.
Her eyes passed a young man sitting alone just like she was at the moment.
What a loser. She thought. Well if he's a loser then I must be one too.
She sighed and fipped through the menu again even though she had made up her mind on what she wanted to order, exactly half and hour ago.
BBQ chicken with mint somethingymajingy. She couldn't even pronounce some of the meals names listed.
She fished her mobile out of her purse and stared at the screen for a long while.
No new calls or messages. Except for the subscribed emails for holiday deals that she had planned to book for the two of them a month ago. She never bothered to unsubscribe.
Another 30 minutes went by and there was still no sign of him.
What did he think of himself? She groaned and banged the table. A little too loud.
"Excuse me ma'am, but you have been sitting here for an hour and 20 minutes and haven't ordered anything so far. You are occupying a table for two and we have many customers waiting as you know this is a well-known restaraunt." A waiter with funny looking hair said.
Indira sighed. He continued.
"I'm sorry to say but if you're not ordering anything then I will have to ask you to leave.."
Indira was about to reason with him when someone came and sat down in front of her.
"Uh I'll take number 14 and a glass of wine, And please bring number 20 for the lady thank you.." The handsome young man said.
The waiter looked surprised. "Ok" He walked away.
Indira eyeballed the man.
"Ok I'm sorry! Really really sorry! Sorry sorry Sorry!" he said.
He paused.
"You look beautiful... " He complimented Indira.
Indira smirked and shook her head.
"Seriously It'd be a crime if I didn't comment on how gorgeous you look.."
Indira blinked her eyes rapidly about 5 times.
"Really?" She said sarcastically.
"You know what? I've been seeing you for a long time now and I think it's time I say it." The man said.
He leaned close.
"You deserve love... I can almost feel your heart beating... Your getting mixed emotions about me... Your thinking should I just scream and kick him away... Your wondering how I can read your mind..."
Indira looked shocked.
"You are the most divine thing I've seen... But I know you hate me... So I am going to leave... I'm not the right man... I hope your true love meets you soon..." The man stood up and walked away.
Indira made sense of what the man had just said.
She got up and ran after him.
"Wait!"
She pushed chairs out of her way.
He turned around.
She smiled and took a step towards him.
"Whats your name?" She asked.
"Rishi Kumar. RK for short... Aren't you supposed to wait for your special someone who hasn't turned up yet?" The man said.
Indira shook her head.
"I think I found him... " She smiled again and leaned in.
She flung her arms around the man and hugged him tightly.
He hugged her back.
They broke apart from the huge sound of "AWWW" and cheers in the background.
"At first, You were a stranger... But your words made me realize that he wasn't the right one for me! Its you! " Indira said.
RK laughed.
"Even though Im a stranger to you, I couldn't resist coming and meeting you..." He said.
They both smiled.
*Beep Beep*
Indira heard a sound from her phone.
Incoming call from Rahul.
She ended it. She didn't need him anymore...
