Thank you to everyone who responded. The mixed responses made it very interesting 😊
I agree with everyone to an extent. I like Nutanji's eternal optimism. Earnshaw, too, has expressed positivity with regard to the story and future twists (something I have long given up on). This kind of positivity and optimism will keep the show afloat for a few more years 😊
Surbhi had some interesting things to say. But, Surbhi, I find myself disagreeing with you on at least two points. Rishi was drunk. So, if he mistook Indira for Zara, then we should overlook that as an error in stupor. Do not mistake me. I am not saying that his drinking should be forgiven. But I also sincerely feel that the CVs make him irresponsible whenever they feel like. Whenever one character has to be shown as strong, the writers' way of doing this is to show someone else as weak. For instance, when Sumer was in the show, to portray him as an alpha male, Indira was reduced to a helpless creature who would only cry and pine for Rishi. Not sure if you would agree, but Indira too has not been spared from weak characterization and writing. My second point of disagreement is with Indira becoming more strict to discipline her family. Especially Indu. In a family that consists mostly of adults, I don't know what can change...I mean merely thinking of reforming an Inder Sharma or a Kutumb Sharma or a Munna Sharma makes me give up already. As for Indu, if Indira is Hitler with her, she will never be able to make a dent in that personality. Lets see what they do with it.
Zara...the girl was sent to mental hospital...she wanted to kill indira out of his love...he married her twice...but din't thought once about the moments she spend with her...i never saw him crying ...or feeling low ki kash main zara ji ko apni zindagi mein nahi laata...kaash mujhe yeh galatfemi nahi hoti ki woh meri shreemati ji hain ...i know what zara did was not his mistake...i mean he din't asked her to do...bit any normal human being will feel that after such incidents . . He started instead romancing indira . And now all of a sudden he remembers zara ...and asks her to take her stuff . I don't get the connection with his taking zara name anywhere . See kanan...this is a show...and things do happen here and there...even in our real life...we are not always strong ...not always weak...still indira manages to be strong at most of the time...i don't say there were not circumstances which made indira look weak...of course there were but yup the circumstances make her weak...but what about rishi...what circumstances were there that he was drunk...that too so much that wasn't able to stand on his feet . His wife returned...so drinking or holi so drinking ????...we can't blame such circumstances at least . These were happy moments .
Regarding being strict...sorry i don't feel the family can be handle with firmness...you said it right...there are mature adults and none of them is going to change...we have enough proofs... but atleast indira is able to make them work for the moment when needed . That's enough for me . Regarding indu...indu is out of the limit...if she will be firm with her...she will be another shweta...if will telling her right and wrong with love and care...she will end up saying that her mother is lecturing her and will not pay attention . The only way she can deal with her right now is being strict ...slowly with her change towards positive attitude...she can calm down a little too...but not now . Indu needs strict behavior to be taught . See she even don't go to school...i will say all the best to indira and i hope she achieves what she feels is good for her daughter . I hope she brings her on the right track .
About the disappointment with the episodes after the Inshi reunion, its mostly to do with returning to square one. As viewers, I (and people like me) are currently experiencing fatigue. Surbhi mentioned this in her comment: "9 years gone...but everyone is the same". That's the exact quarrel. How is it possible that nine years have gone and absolutely nothing has changed? No one expects the miracle of seeing Munna earn, but there has to be some change. Inder has a new woman on his arm. The repetitive, inane twists, and zero growth in characters have left me very frustrated. My POV
