I do not condone Kutumb's actions but somehow I am able to understand her anger at Rishi.
For her
1. Rishi was responsible for paralyzing her son - son who had gone to US to earn a lot of money and support his family. Now all these dreams are down the tube because of Rishi
2. Sameer is Rishi's brother. If Rishi was not in their lives, Sameer would not have been and the rape would not have happened.
3. If Rishi had not made Indira fall for him, than Indira would ahve been their exclusive pawn to use for family's benefit, however they deemed correct.
4. It is because of him that her husband slapped her and that too in front of everybody. This is humiliation is deep and personal
Now we all can poke a million holes in all of the above 4 points but from Kutumb's selfish perspective, especially in pain and anger, all of the above points make sense. At every point, when the family is about to make some money, in comes Rishi spoiling all the fun.
