I'm in the middle of reading the book!..but what i found weird is that Lily was older than James!..Lily was born on January 30 1960 & James on March 27 1960!..but then again, they're wizards😆

I finished it early Sunday morning and it was the most intense book I've ever read and I absolutely loved it 😛 but after I read it I got this sick feeling in my stomach because I know there isn't another one coming out and this is the last one! I'm going to miss looking forward to another Harry Potter book. 😭

guys I read the book...but am left with such mixed feelings I dont even know what to say.

There were parts like the Muriel/Doge conversation, Bathilad chapter and stuff where I was very disappointed since I felt that it was getting repititve and too stretched

The last 5 chapters were good and engrossing and very fast paced. But they almost felt rushed and hence left me behing with a lot of questions.

the epilogue was a complete let down. I am left with so many questions at the end of this book, I dont even know where to go to have the answered.

One one hand I am releived that Voldy is gone and on the other there is this hollow feeling of Potter gone and over.

I loved some of the scenes and I wish there were more...especially loved the last scene with Harry and Voldy. Harry played wonderful minds games with Voldy...I wish there were more scenes like that...alas...its over...for good...and I am confused of what should I feel...should I be happy that Good triumphed over evil 😃 ? should i be crying since I wont get anymore HP doses 😭 ? Or should I be angry coz I have so many unanswered questions 😡 ?

I thing is for sure...Rowling did a great job and she definitly deserves this.. 👏

p.s. I am new on this forum...looking forward to discussing this book

I am a bit disappointed with the book, perhaps due to very high expectations. Also I feel that some of the details such as RAB identity, Harry being horcrux, Snape is a friend etc did not come as a surprise. The way Tonks, Lupin, Mad-eye were killed just with a mere passing reference left much to be desired. I am so sad that poor Fred was killed 😭 😭 😭
Finally I find it ridiculous that Ron speaks parseltongue (magic whatever ). The best moment was the way Molly kills Bellatrix. Nice change to see a sweet mummy turning into a tigress, way to go Molly 👏 👏 👏
Also very happy that trio is safe, long live Harry, Hermy & Ron 👏 👏 👏

First of all let me say what a wonderful job JK Rowling has done! The way she wove together all the little clues and hints dropped along the way, since the very first book, was absolutely awesome!

I'm glad that none of the core three died. I agree with prafulb that some of the supposedly-big revelations in this book - Harry being a Horcrux, Snape's loyalty, RAB's identity and a Horcrux being hidden in Hogwarts, did not turn out as big as one might have hoped.

I was, however, intrigued by Kreacher's sudden change of heart, Dumbledore's past history and the meaning behind his gleam of triumph in GOF when he learns Voldemort resurrected his new body with Harry's blood.

I must say the fact that Dumbledore duelled with Grindelwald in 1945 being mentioned on the Chocolate Frog card in Book 1 made, for me, the pair's past friendship and relation to Dumbledore's family tragedy the BEST revelation of this book. I never imagined so much went on in Dumbledore's life before this. I also liked the part where Harry, having believed Dumbledore thought he was dispensable (even Snape believed Dumbledore thought this) finally discovers that Dumbledore knew what the significance of Harry's blood in Voldemort's veins was. Dumbledore was thoroughly good, even if he was a bit misled in the beginning! 😃

When I finished the book I was left wondering which person, who has never performed magic before, does so in this book. I really can't think of anyone. The deaths of Dobby, Fred, Lupin and Tonks were all very sad. Lupin and Tonks because they had just had their baby son (does anyone see the parallel here with Harry's own situation? Maybe if JK ever wants to write further books in the HP universe it will be Teddy Lupin and the ...) Fred's death was just so sad 😭

The book began to rush along towards the end, a bit too hurried but then it portrays very well the intensity of those difficult times during the Battle of Hogwarts. The epilogue (while nicely laying out the fates of the trio and giving the names of their respective kids) was just so ... urgh 🤢 I don't know the word for it ... contrived, perhaps? It was just so hard to imagine Harry, Ron and Hermione in their thirties with teenaged kids of their own, right after reading the rest of the book! I was grateful for the closure though. And it was so touching when Harry, who at Snape's death thinks of him as his enemy, tells Albus Severus that Snape was one of the bravest men he ever knew. (Naming the other 2 kids James and Lily was overkill though! Sirius would at least be a good choice for the boy! And doesn't anyone want to name their son after Fred? After all, Ron has a son and Ginny has 2 but neither wants to name any of them after their dead brother?)

All in all, an excellent read and, with the possible exception of the epilogue (19 years later), a wonderful conclusion to an amazing series. I'll miss you, Harry Potter, and Ron and Hermione too (okay, Ron not that much 😉 )

I still haven't read the book as I will get it afterOctober(Thanks to my father).
But the points I have collected by the theories made me too happy.
Firstly b'cuz I knew it would be Lily whom Snape loved.I have never been in any discussion forum about HP and all my theories are purely based on my chapter understanding.Acc. to a J.K.Rowling's interview in which she stated that Snape has been loved,I have derived the above stated cionclution.
Secondly it was good to know that it was,as I guessed,Alberforth Dumbledore as the bar man.I guessed it when they reffered to goat smeel.
Thirdly,I guess Snape was rightfull in terms that he told LV aboutthe prophesy. If he had had listened the entire prophesy also he would have only told the first half, the reason being power of love.
Fourthly,I have always had a hint that Snape was good and that it would be Albus himself to tell Snape to kill him.More b'cuz he was continiously asking for Snape at the end of HBP.
Moreover Snape told Harry the mistakes he was doing while simultaneously backfiring all the jinxes thrown at him.He also stopped Bella from hurting Harry by the CC with such a wonderful excuse.
I have a suspicion that Albus told Snape to kill him if needed long before the year started.Remember, him taking the unbreakable vow and him revealing that he already knew the task assigned to Draco Malfoy.I think he told the task straight-way to Albus and at that point of time Albus told him(Snape) to kill him if needed and that his life term is already shortened.
Fourthly,I knew that Tonks will be pregnant specially b'cuz Jo mentioned that Lupin will have an extra stress/worry this year.I am sure the extra ment Tonks being pregnant.
I somehow thought Lupin,Moody and Tonks will die.But never thought Fred and Dobby will die too.Fred's death was as unexpected as the death of Sirius.Though I knew one Weasly will die,I expected it to be Ron.
Furthermore,I have always liked Kreatcher, unlike Dobby who was always a wierd creature for me and whom I couldn't like much.I am very happy to know that he was good.
I would have personally liked Harry killing Bella. But happy that she is dead I hate her for killing my Sirius.
I know that Neville would have a major role in LV's defeat and I am very happy to be proved correct.
Lastly,Harry and Nagini being two of the horuxes were a long derivated fact.
So,I am very happy that all my thoughts are correct and wishing you all A Very Happy Ending.
Thanks to all of those who provided the theories.
I am just waiting for October to come.I know the book contain so many specialities that after knowing the facts I would still feel it more than interesting.
A Very Big Cheers To J.K.Rowling to create wonderful characters like Albus Dumblodore,Severus Snape,Lord Vordemort and Harry Potter.
With love,
Shiya
