It'd probably end up like the LOTR series crap that came on Prime a while back. Did anyone even care to watch it?

I'd rather watch Marauders - their origin and the first war against Tom Riddle honestly, if at all I'm even watching.

Yep the actors have became synonymous to the characters. Most of the world recognizes them by those characters and not the real names. They're irreplacable.

Fans are asking for Marauders era movies, or a movie on the four founders of Hogwarts. But nah, they decided to make a movie out of a textbook. Now this reboot. Why not just give what the fans are demanding?

The lead actress for fantastic beasts quit the third film for the same reason. And more big name British actors will probably avoid being involved.

Fantastic Beasts and Rowling's other books do show that she struggles with writing another story. So it's probably best to just redo the same story.

The other question is need. But what entertainment product is really needed?

By need I meant nobody asked for it. Not even the fans. They wanted new stories. We already have the movies for the on-screen adaptation, which are not very old. Therefore a Harry Potter reboot is not needed. Maybe after 20, or at least 10 years? Sure! But I guess it was unrealistic to expect that.

Honestly fed up of the way things are going in the socio cultural diaspora in the west..

I agree with Half Blood Prince. That movie makes no sense if you haven't read the books. I watched the movie before reading the book and half of the time I was scratching my head thinking what the hell is going on.

They’re remaking Harry Potter again either because they’re not creative enough to come up with new ideas that’ll sell and/or because Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson all spoke out against JK Rowling’s transphobia and she doesn’t want them associated as the leads.

They're not creative enough. That is the only reason.

Only the first two movies are faithful to the books. But honestly the later movies feel actually like movies. Philosopher's Stone and Chamber Of Secrets have pacing issues. From Prisoner Of Azkaban the movies become a smooth watch.

I sincerely hope that Padma and Parvati get to wear nice traditional clothes during the Yule Ball, I don’t know where they got those horrible sarees for the movies.

There is technically no "need" to do anything. But HP as a series exploring the various other subplots which the movie couldnt accomadate would be awesome

If they steer clear from being over-woke and do not fall for the teal-orange filter trap which David Yates used to ruin the look and feel of the last 4 movies, then it would definitely work

I just think its still so soon to make a reboot, even if its a TV series and would add all the subplots. Therefore its not "needed" imo.

"Wokeness" can only happen in casting and I don't care about it. Yeah make Hermione black, who cares. The character is not Emma Watson.
