That person makes a very nice point.. But the real question would be how are vanishing cabinets created/installed in the first place? And, are there any more of them around? It might be that the ministry doesn't know how to install these cabinets in the first place, and maybe back when Hogwarts was created, along with other secret place, Salazar Slytherin might have created this cabinet, and also created one in one of the evil places, Borgin and Burkes (I think it existed back then too)...If I'm not mistaken, isn't the vanishing cabinet in the Room of Requirements? If it is, then that's something to think about as well...
