Too bad Barkha doesn't take the great advice she was dishing out to Ayesha, about how difficult it is to make a space for yourself in a new household especially for a DIL, and apply it to Laajo. Look how she was trying to explain to Ayesha about how difficult it is to adjust to a new household for a daughter in law and what she will still have to do despite the fact that she is going to have such sweet loving in-laws etc, etc... Too bad she doesn't think about that from Laajo's angle.

You know as she was saying it, I thought about it too, it's as if Laajo is not someone with feelings like Ayesha can feel something by Sid's parents talking something negative to her, similarly Laajo can too, the way she blamed her for her leaving the house, it's your fault entirely that I'm not at my home (but she is the one also to blame as she couldn't handle seeing Laajo's face so she chose to leave, no-one pushed her out the door forcefully, it was her own choice), so she puts all the blame on Laajo, she doesn't want Laajo anyway but in her room where she won't be seen by anyone, eat your food there, wash your clothes and dry them there, thats the room I've given up to you so that I don't have to see you, it's your prison, she justifies her treatment of Laajo because she is refusing to return back to Sonbarsa like she wants her to do, it's as if just because the society at the village are poor that what they say to Laajo the taunts abuse she will face if she returns there after living with them is nothing, if Ayesha had to face the same their haughty tauty society's taunts and whispers are more important. She's incapable of viewing villagers as human beings just because they are not rich like her.

So true Nafisa! I had to actually cut my post down as I was on a rant today too😡😳😳 and had originally posted many of the points you mentioned. I just wish she could get out of her "anger" mode and see it from Laajo's perspective BUT then again, who am I kidding???? She couldn't even forgive her young child for an accident, something totally not his fault so how can I expect her to see thinks from Laajo's angle?😡

Totally agree Parm. The entire time I was listening to her, I was thinking about how hypocritical she was being. Different rules for Ayesha and Lajjo I guess!!! I could not believe how she could give all that advice to Ayesha, yet turn around and be so harsh with her own DIL! Ugh!

That's because she got "right" on her side don't you know!?!?!?!😡😡😡🤢

I guess her feeling must be that the relationship between Sid and Ayesha is wanted and approved of by both families but only one sided for LaKhil's relationship (only ones that seem to want it are LaKhil (most important of course) and Laajo's family)...

Nice post.
However, I thought how CVs showed she is not always OTT but has typical mother feelings and behavior which she does not protray publicly!!!

Its just that she has the potential - now will she see it Laajjo's way too will be interesting to watch.

She is not going to accept Lajjo for long long time, Lajjo will prove herself by studying and all that she is equal to this snobs.
This is the reason I like this story, not like DIL is a door mate and always crying.😆

I think for as long as she doesn't forgive Nikhil from heart she won't accept Lajjo. What surprised me from the beginning though was the way she treated Ishana with so much love and affection. I would have thought anything to do with Nikhil she would not have approved of but in that instance I was wrong. I can only assume since she (Ishana) has known Nikhil since childhood then Barka would have known her since then too and had liked her already as a child before the accident happened so was able to continue her relationship with her as a friend of her son's before that friendship had blossomed into love. I don't see her thinking that way about Lajjo or from Lajjo's perspective anytime soon as she has that huge hurdle she has not been able to overcome in 10 years so she won't see it just yet. I hope though that as the show progresses (haven't seen the original and I really don't want to know the end otherwise why watch the show😆) though that she softens towards both of them...
