ashu, i agree with u in some parts and not in others....
first, i totally agree that there should be no groupism and there should be no fighting.
in fact, if u remember we all used to be a gang...infact, u were here much before me, but we were all like a family and shared our likes and dislikes and even joked that it was sooooooooo peaceful without a mod...
i think so far we have still been pretty well behaved...and yes, i agree that i too have seen vicious vicious fighting and squabbling in other fora...
the thing where i disagree is that this is a show which we all at some level or other love...those who are disgusted and quit watching also do so becoz they cant bear to see their beloved show massacred. yet others do so in the hope that the cvs will read their opinions and improve the track or take their views into account....in short , everyone comes here to express their view...else why would there be a forum at all?
the difficulty lies in the fact that people have differing views, they want to show their views about the show they love, they want to discuss it, but they are not able to understand it or tolerate it if there are some people who disagree with them....disagreement kahaan nahi hota...
but if we all remember that everyone has a right to an opinion, and if we genuinely respect taht there should be no problem....
the diffculty begins where people say that we respect others'opinions but actually dont...and cant tolerate it if others subscribe to a different view. then they start bashing those who think differently, or sometimes even the actor in question...then suddenly a group arises which supports a particular actor and feels the need to defend that actor...which is soooooooooooooooo ridiculous becoz usually the actors themselves are not so emotionally involved in the show as we are....and usually they get along fine with each other, while we become ready to kill each other for our fav actor...
its all very silly really...we need to remember that this is a show. we can love it, we can have differing views, we can have different sides, but we must remember that finally no side is against any other side, and that all members here are together as viewers...
as far as the cvs, producers and actors are concerned, they are one team and we are another group....they actually laugh at us for being so childish...
lets just remember this all the time that we come here to enjoy, not to fight....fighting is no entertainment and just kills a show. shows have actually stopped becoz fans fight...and finally the members of IF dont make that much diff to the trp coz we are mostly offshore viewers, who mostly watch on youtube...
phew long speech....in short, i always speak my mind...but i always also expect others to speak theirs without feeling any offence about it on my part. and i dont want to fight at any cost...it gives me a headache!
